Writing scares me. There are topics outside of games I'm passionate about. Giving myself a place to improve with writing and explore those topics was important. A few months ago I had the idea to update my website and unpack some thoughts I've had on various art, design, creation type topics.
I've struggled for years now with my "creative identity" as I've not 3D modeled for a long time. Photography is great (www.instagram.com/yeti.snaps), but I wanted something to work on from my home office.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 A slow burn with stellar animation and art. I couldn’t help but think about Cairn when I watched. Mountaineering being the obvious connection but more so in how it unpacks obsession and dedication; if you’ve ever stubbornly needed to finish something at high cost(s), this will resonate.

Abbott & Costello on 130”. I’ve seen all their movies, watching since I was a kid. Never did I think I’d see them on a big screen. Heaven. Spoiled, but heaven.
Last night I rolled credits on Cairn. Finishing this journey felt like closing a favorite book. It is a 10/10 to me and a game I will be carrying with me for a very long time. The feeling I'm left with right now is it feels like a rare find.
ARC RAIDERS: Given that Embark is using AI to change the way people sound (It's not voice modulation. It's a completely new output of a specific sounding voice.) I'd like to see them put that towards _what_ people say. Let me control what I can hear people say and not just how they can say it.

If you’ve not gotten this yet, All Yesterdays is a great book to own and gift folks. It’s written and illustrated by palaeontologists and paleo illustrators and presents speculation on the lifestyle, appearance and behaviour of prehistoric animals based on modern understanding of animals.
