Happy Birthday to the original. The one who set the template for all rock frontmen who followed. The one and only. Sir Mick Jagger.
Happy Birthday to one of the founders, Mr. Geezer Butler. One of my top five bassists. Some of the most unique and coolest fucking bass parts (and lyrics) in existence. Legend. #OriginalSabbath
Happy Birthday, Ringo. One of my absolute favorite and, in my opinion, most underrated drummers ever. Ringo is the king.
Happy Birthday Month to Angus! (a.k.a. Agnus McPooseph). She was born sometime in July of 1996, came into my life in September of that year, and we were best buds for 18 years. She’s no longer here but I still miss my pal. Love you always, Angus! kAAAAt!!! ❤️
Happy Birthday, Ray Davies. The Kinks 60’s catalogue is gold. My birthday twin. I’d call that a big Fuck Yes!
Happy Father’s Day to my other favorite person on the planet, Mr. Bob Shoemaker. Love you, Dad!
James Gandolfini. September 18, 1961 – June 19, 2013. R.I.P. Skip.
One street over from the FSU London Study Center. Our second day there in June of 2007, I walked right over to Denmark Street and went inside. It’s a guitar shop now, but the floor was still the original from when Sabbath and the Stones did their earliest recordings there.
Finally got to see this. And it was fucking great. A surrealistic, abstract, beautifully designed horror film. Creepy, unsettling ambience from the beginning to the end and it leaves a lot to your imagination, which I love.
Happy Birthday, John Henry Bonham. One of my biggest music heroes and favorite drummers since I was 4. Back then I used to watch The Song Remains The Same everyday on VHS & thought I was being him, banging on my little Junior Pro kids’ drum kit from Toys R Us. Legend. R.I.P. Bonzo.
