MONDAY’S MYTH: Many might think that the story of Lake Placid’s “Lady of the Lake” is just a local ghost story. However, did you know that she was a real person? Mabel Smith Douglass disappeared in 1933 while rowing on Lake Placid. Her preserved body was found 30 years later.
