supporting people & organisations (social / otherwise) deal with uncertainty; occasional anorak; a tiger striped chaise lounge with a flamingo cushion.
Excited to be a ‘cover pin up’ for The Real Edits after they spotted me as a person who’s story they felt deserved to be told more widely. therealedit.site/adrian-ashton/
Proud to stand in solidarity with fellow unpaid carers by sharing my name/face on this years' #CarersWeek wall (along with why we need to talk about ourselves more...) @carers-week.bsky.social www.carersweek.org
Proud to be part of this year's inaugural #SmallBusinessWeek - and to showcase how even the smallest of businesses can create significant impacts for our communities and customers: drive.google.com/file/d/1JcCF... (find others like us at entrepreneurscircle.org/sbw/)
I'm proud to be part of this years' official UK Small Business Week: 1st - 7th June. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, so during Small Business Week, please try to shop small, shop local and support independents. #SmallBusinessWeek entrepreneurscircle.org/sbw//
I may not be based in Scotland, but that doesn't mean I can't stand with @evalsupscot.bsky.social in supporting #SelfEvaluationWeek - and share my latest self-impact report, which includes how I've approached what my total impact over the last 20 years has been! drive.google.com/file/d/1JcCF...
When I wrote 'loving your doubt', I never imagined it would be appearing at writing retreats (such as those led by forcreativepeople.com)! Loving these video clips Helen's shared with me of the other titles mine's appearing alongside, as inspiration for future great books!
Is it ironic that a book about embracing and celebrating imposter syndrome has become an award-winning bestseller?! But it shows that having a counterintuitive idea (‘imposter syndrome can be a force for good’) – and then discussing it with as many people as possible, can yield surprisingly results
Happy #WorldToiletDay! An amazing 3.5 billion people don’t have access to one, today is a UN initiative designed to stimulate talks around Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aims to alleviate the situation. (and it's also an excuse to link to a porcelain anniversary in my business...)
What better way to celebrate #WorldToiletDay (and it being the 20th/porcelain anniversary of my business this year) than by flushing my office toilet with me?
You may well have experienced imposter syndrome. But its normal and healthy; you can harness it in a positive way, rather than squash it or get rid of it. Here’s the story of how I came to write my book, “Loving Your Doubt”, that offers a different perspective on the usual narrative about this.
a five-finger guide to how I think I managed to reach the 20th anniversary of my business - some of which are likely to be the opposite of what works for you. If your business has made it to 20 years – or the last turbulent 10, or fairly feisty 5 – I’d love to know what factors you think helped.
Did you know that I sometimes wear my undies on the outside of my trousers to create even more impact? #AAimpact25 drive.google.com/file/d/1dybB...
The @socialstarters.bsky.social has only gone and posted the first review for my new book, Flushed!, within 2 days of it going live on Amazon's bookshelves - and it's a corker! www.amazon.co.uk/Flushed-firs...
I'm not sure what the people who read my book did to their particular copies of it to make them so valuable - but it's still 33% cheaper to buy brand new from Amazon... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09V25N8G6
After a few false starts, my next book is 1 step closer to being able to be released into the wild...
First the publishers refused my manuscript, because their printers can only physically fit so many pages into one book. Then, after I edited it down further, the proof copies were saturated in lotion by the courier. I'm wondering what's coming next to stop my anniversary book being published..?
Happy #KazooDay!! (What tunes are other people belting out on theirs today?)
