Chronic Illness Grief is something I am looking into as my genetic skin disorder/disease Darier's White Disorder becomes unmanageable since June. I’ve managed it since early 2000’s but it’s in disruptor mode. Read more: ladydeathdoula.substack.com/p/birthday-g...
This week I held space for a lot of death anxiety - I reminded my death doula companions to think to release instead of hold, watch and release their anxiety, their grief, their fear. Find yourself in nature to recalibrate.
My inner teen is ecstatic on this Bancroft Tshirt find from ‘Divinely Lost’ I loved the books and movie - can’t wait for the second one coming soon! #practicalmagic
Started with a new grief doula companion and they ended our first call together saying “this is exactly what I wanted” and my heart grew three times bigger 🤍 #deathdoula
Today I was invited to a grief ceremony with my doula companion and moths were landing on me, flying up and giving me a kiss, sitting on my hat… it was magical. Look how cute this one was! His little wings and fuzzy little body was so adorable!
July 26th join me and Magical Herbalist Sarah Topping for a Make Your Own Burn Bundles Workshop: www.eventbrite.ca/e/make-your-...
Because joy is resistance and so is ancestral work: come join me in the art of saining and burn bundles. I work with fire a lot and this is one of my favourite ways to integrate local plant medicine and my Celtic roots. www.eventbrite.ca/e/make-your-...
Grief release and grief rituals can be as simple as this: write it on a piece of paper and set it on fire (safely) to help let it go.
One of my favourite offerings is my walk’n’talk where we meet at a local park or trail and we just… walk and talk. About life, death, and grief amongst the trees and sunshine…
I need you to know that I have never seen a ghost. But I have had conversations with them. Often. Read more: open.substack.com/pub/ladydeat... #deathdoula
I made a floating “candlelit garden” and now I’m OBSESSED with how it turned out 🥹🤍
A personal memorial to my Grandma Dolly. I tried to find the most Nova Scotia looking place in Toronto for her… trinkets and seashells and rocks, rosemary for remembrance 🤍
I hope you can join me May 11th at 257 Danforth Ave in Toronto for Crafting Grief a time when we can honour our ancestral mothers and those who were mothers to us that we grieve. ℹ️ www.adrianna-prosser.com/2026/04/16/e... #deathdoula 6/6
Ancestral work and ritual on Mother’s Day can look like: ⁕ making frames for your mother/grandmother photos ⁕ creating an ancestors nook or altar in your home honouring the mothers in your family ⁕ visiting your deceased mother figures ⁕ sharing stories of mother figures 5/6
Integrating grief work and Mother’s Day together honours the founder of the day. By acknowledging this day’s past and the founder’s original intent, it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate our mothers - but that we also honour them. All of them. 4/6
Mother’s Day was meant to be commemoration & acknowledgement (and grief work) a giving thanks to mothers everywhere for their invisible labour and hard work. 3/6
“I hope and pray that someone, sometime, will found a memorial mother’s day commemorating her for the matchless service she renders to humanity in every field of life. She is entitled to it.” -Ann Reeves Jarvis (Anna Jarvis’ mother) 2/6
For some of us Mother's Day is a day of remembrance rather than celebration. And that’s historically accurate: Following her mother's death in 1905, Anna Jarvis aimed to fulfill a long-held wish of her mother to have a memorial day for mothers. 1/6
For some of us Mother’s Day is more of a remembrance than celebration … and that’s actually historically accurate! If you are tending your grief on Mother’s Day, I would love to have you come to Crafting Grief on May 11th www.adrianna-prosser.com/2026/04/16/e...

Last night was my first time offering Doula + Reiki sessional work and it was so moving - we got to dive deeper than a grief group would go, and work on releasing specific areas of the body that was heavy with grief. Truly beautiful work in thanks to my partner Esné supporting with Reiki.
