And there he was, sitting on a cushion in the living room, completely dry, looking at me like "where did you go with my treats?" He was also helped home once by a guy who saw him roaming, followed him home & rang the doorbell for him 🤣 I have no idea how he got out. He was a little asshole.

Watching Disney's #RobinHood after the chatter today. Started watching a VHS recording uploaded to Archive org on my phone & then remembered I get Disney+ free with my bank account 😅 Gabby knows a wrong'un when she sees one.

How, little earwig? How?? She was completely stuck and very weak. I managed to very gently tease her out, but in not wanting to squish her I held her too loosely and dropped her into the straw 😖

All is forgiven and I guess apple is still on the menu. She is still taking her favourite snacks. Particularly sunflower seeds, oats, coconut oil. Good for calories, but not a nutritious diet, even with a the odd bug she forages. #Chickens

Madeleine is moulting. It makes her feel so miserable she can refuse to eat. Moults take weeks. If she's not eating I have to tube feed her. Which is not fun for anyone, especially when the tube shoots off the nozzle & splatters liquid food everywhere 😩 The indignant noise she made 😆 #Chickens

Last one. I just love this pic of Madeleine. She's 10 years old, boss of everyone, has laid about three good eggs her whole rescue life, survived horrific peritonitis, a two hour op, AND a fox attack. So she's allowed to sleep in the rabbits' bed if she wants.

They get supervised outside time, and their run is large, covered and has a dirt and straw floor, so they have plenty of chances for outdoor fun. But honestly they love being in the house. I try to restrict them to the kitchen, for floor cleaning purposes, but they've worked out they have wings..

Gallery of Horror (1967) was fun. Also terrible. Accents? Optional. Wardrobe had no era notes. Acting? Also optional. The final twist of the last story was very good though. It's like the shoddiness throughout was a setup for the final shock. www.imdb.com/title/tt0062...

This! My house as a kid was always cool downstairs (granted we never got 40c temps), and I only recently realised it was because the roof was weird. Also the sun never blocked out the TV. Not my house, just a similar example.

A semi detached house where the slanted roof comes down past the upstairs windows and comes to an end over the ground floor windows and door, so that there's a couple of feet of overhang.

Please put water out for wildlife. Including overnight for our native mammals, especially hedgehogs. Even if you've never seen one, trust me; they're there. A large baking tray makes a great bird bath. And don't forget a shallow saucer, in the shade, for our pollinators.

Obsidentify thinks they're shield bug nymphs. Either common green, hawthorn, or box bug. We do get green and hawthorn, but I've never spotted a box bug. Also you don't see a lot of boxwood around. I have hawthorn in the garden though.

Spotted something interesting on one of my kuffiyeh.

A red and orange striped keffiyeh, with some strange little green orbs, the size of round pinheads attached to it.

A closer look at the green orbs on the kuffiyeh. They have antennae, and wiggly little legs. Also an orange spot on the their backs.

Cheezy really, really needs a bath, but he's 23 and I fear he'll lose his last whisker, at best. He's already lost all his plush 😭 .

And old TY Beanie Baby mouse plushie. He was once white but is now a murky grey, with tiny pink paws. He is sitting up on his bean filled haunches, and pointing at a fake cat skeleton that is holding a giant eye in its mouth.

My work notebook stickers speak for me.

I found out what they are. Teeny, tiny baby ladybirds 😍🥺🥰

Underside of an apple leaf. It has two moth cocoons made of silk attached to it, and a small group of hatched insect eggs. Around the empty eggs are ladybird nymphs, barely 2mm long. They are black, with elongated oval bodies and six legs.

Pseudoscorpion in my compost bin!

A tiny little scorpion like bug. It has an oval body and little nubby head, 8 small legs and 2 massive pincers. Like a scorpions they're segmented and jointed.

I also asked obsidentify to ID some insect eggs, which it can sometimes do. But these were too generic... or just too blurry. Look, it's hard taking photos in the dark, on the underside of leaves, without disturbing the bugs on the leaves 😅

Next was a green caterpillar on my apple tree. You'd think that would be a bit more difficult, but again, obsidentify was 100% confident. I'm excited to see them as adults. So pretty. Hopefully the blue tits don't find all of them. Green silver line; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoi...
