She has a bed on the other side of the desk. But I finally tidied up this corner, today, and Drummer promptly colonized it. #caturday
In modern times trees block any view toward Newport, though the West Passage is clearly visible. I took these pictures about 12 years ago. The signage sadly omits the beacon usage.
Post the best picture you've taken THIS WEEK of your pet (if you feel like it). Drummer in her feelings box. #proofofcat
Need to set up a piece of equipment, and figured it would fit on the end of this desk. So, I cleared the spot for it. Drummer has alternative ideas about the usage of space. #proofofcat
I tried the storage bins to help organize the clutter on my shelves, and reduce the chaos that Drummer would inflict. I may have been half successful. #proofofcat
Drummer was watching intently as I ate sushi. I put a piece of raw salmon down for her, and she sniffed it and then looked at me like I was trying to cheap out on treats and kibble with an inferior offering. #proofofcat #caturday
Seriously, Bambu, how often do we have to do this?! This isn't the first time, and I suspect it won't be the last. My Prusa never clogged this way.
Trap, what trap? You missed spot! To be fair, when Drummer does this, it's almost always not a trap.
Happy Gotcha Day to Drummer and I. Both our lives our better for having the other in them.
Drummer had her first annual vet visit to be checked over and update her shots. She wants you to feel sorry for the ordeal she endured, being put in the carrier and taken to a strange place where they poked needles in her. She's healthy, and she got extra treats to compensate for the stress.
I haven't used my iPad recently, and went to pull it out, only to find that it seems that the cover, at least, has been providing amusement to Drummer.
Another gloomy day in the archipelago. They're now saying the current storm will be all rain here with snow staying north and west.
Twenty-five years ago, I regularly baked a good deal of bread from flour I'd freshly milled. Circumstances, equipment, and houses have changed since then, but I still think it's a tasty and nutritious way to go, so now I'm trying to bring it back, this time using a bread machine. First loaf done.
As far as I know, this is the only covered bridge on an active road in Rhode Island.
This morning, Drummer woke me to speak to the management about why her food dispenser wasn't dispensing breakfast. Right. It's bad enough we have to put up with this DST nonsense, but I see no reason to inflict it on her. I triggered an immediate feed, and set times for other feedings to compensate.
It's still been on the warm side, but that's set to change later this week with more typical autumn temps. That cooling will make the leftovers from tonight's red lentil and tofu curry extra warming when I get to them.
I have real work to do, but Drummer has once again taken my keyboard hostage. Perhaps I should replace the pad in the cat bed right behind her with an old keyboard to make it more attractive?
We're getting the first signs of fall weather, and while this will be great in the winter, it was still cool enough that this felt indulgent. A nice, warming stew of white beans with seedy bread on the side. Yummy!
I hope I don't mix up the labels on the storage containers of white powder.
"There's things on this desk more fragile than the pens I just knocked over, and they may not necessarily stay on the desk, if you get my meaning..."
Drummer is once again holding my desk hostage until she gets the attention she deserves.
If you heard about the offshore wind farm off of Rhode Island, that the wrecking crew operating the US Capitol shut down construction on this week, this is part of it. I had to crop to zoom and there are as many off to the right of this picture as shown.
Turns out that shoving jacks on the floor is a fun game for her. *sigh*
