Ripping up newspaper for the chimney starter on the grill and came to the police blotter page. I am surrounded by TERRIFYING crimes

At 11:16am, a man called police to report someone going door to door at [address redacted] trying to sell driveway services.

At 7:27 a.m., police responded to a harassment complaint at [address redacted]. The person had commented on a Facebook post, then started receiving messages from someone they did not know. They blocked the suspect.

Suspicious activity was reported at 4:43 p.m. at [address redacted]. A woman reported that a younger person with a zipped up hooded sweatshirt had knocked on her glass and left. She requested extra patrol.

A caller reported a loose pig walking on the road at 3:30 a.m. near [address redacted]. Police did not locate the animal.

MN State Fair New Foods Day is honestly one of the highlights of every year for me. Even though I almost never get to actually go to the fair. I just like knowing what's out there. It genuinely makes me very happy (reposting image with alt text)

The issues lie in the capacity for the American sculpting sector to actually undertake the work. White House communications in the executive orders passed to get the project done demand fine, realistic depictions of such figures as Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King Jr. There are fewer than 70 workshops capable of undertaking such work in the United States, and most of them are booked out six to 18 months in advance.

"You'd be flooding the capacity of artists in this country who do that kind of stuff, and the capacity of foundries," said Dylan Farnum, former head of one of the nation's top fine-art sculptors.

On top of this, sculptors will not be chosen until late September, with a delivery deadline of June 1, 2026; commission grants are thought to be lower than necessary to complete the work in the requisite materials; and the White House has yet to select a location for the garden.

I love this picture but she really was the most annoying cat 😅
