In one part of my dark past I was a florist. Sometimes I whip out the skills for a weekend instead of writing.
This little guy is finally letting me get more sleep, so I’ve spent the day actually being coherent.
Got a rejection today and really needed a win, so I installed a little fountain bubbler for myself.

This is the fairy wren my daughter got motivated for yesterday. (She’s still on it today.) We’re looking into what else she can do to help them from here when she’s a long way away from them.

One of the cats got into the garage and then into the attic crawlspace. He and I are both traumatized. Pic for cat tax. No pics of what he looks like rn because he’s filthy.
It was a very intense pink before I got my butt up from where I was trying to go back to sleep.
I knew I was feeding some wild birds along with the chickens, but I didn’t realize the local squirrel had figured it out. I thought they were friendly but then the chickens started pecking it. 😂
My niece had a birthday party today, so I showed up early and realized my SIL was struggling with flowers. I took over but as always, forgot to snap a pic. So she put them together after we left to make sure I got a pic of my work.
The home flock is in molt and I have to supplement with store eggs. Look at the color difference!
After yesterday’s writing session left me feeling unprepared, I’ve decided that I need a writing “go bag.” Something to just grab and go. The list is currently: Keyboard Headphones Notebook Pen/Pencil Phone Stand Battery Pack Charger Cord Bag And here’s what I have so far:
We’ve introduced all the cats, onto the dogs! Watson is keeping me and the littlest company on the couch while she’s under the weather. He also likes to guard the door while I write.
Pet introductions continued- This is Ziggy. Aka Zig, Zigazoon Trouble the First, Miss Ma’am, and President Ziggy. She just got elected.
Idk if Spock is the eldest of the cat siblings, but he was the first to venture out from under the porch and save his litter. The second one out was May, who is deceptively heavy and prefers to do her own thing.
A reintroduction of my animals too! First up: Spock. Named thusly only to thwart the name Spot, which I have issues with.
Today has been a day and it definitely not over yet for me. Sneaking in a cuddle with my little fuzzy dude.
