That Stamp Guy
@africastamps
Professional Philatelist, stamp-dealer, PTS Member - that's the work stuff, also first and foremost an Evertonian, then a Petrol Head. Likes old stuff and being a nerd. That's me there, reading all the information plaques in National Trust properties.
#Venus above the crescent moon tonight. Go outside and look at it because this picture does not do it justice!
Managed to include an "in and around-ing" in a description of a lot of postcards. @footballcliches.bsky.social
Your semi-regular reminder that five of the top eight postions in Men's Doubles #Tennis are held by British players.
Social media legends, owners of elderly cars and all round good eggs, @sionhudson.bsky.social and @thealso.bsky.social with their Twingo. Lovely to see you guys!
I'm at a car show so here is my spurious attempt to crowbar in philatelic content. A #RoyalMail van with rubber wings!
Floor-plan and dealers attending for the #Liverpool stamp fair held at The Liner Hotel, Friday & Saturday this week.

Apparently this is worth at least ten pounds! #philately i.ebayimg.com/images/g/RxQ...
I know it's probably more of an MHD observation, but don't you love seeing the drops of rain fall from the crossbar just after it has been struck by the ball. A particularly satisfying image from 7.16 in on the MOTD coverage of Villa vs Everton.
I mean, he's worth a try, surely? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nelson_...
Nice bit of football language from "proper footballman" Duncan Ferguson, spotted in his autobiography. What a read that was, by the way.
As it's nearly #Christmas here is a carol based on the much-mocked, Rhodesia 1975 Occupational Safety #stamps Issued on 15th October 1975, they would have been the latest commemorative stamps for sale at the post offices up to December and likely used on Christmas cards!
Huh, for years I always thought this stamp depicted elephants, actually they are the extinct Stegodon Ganesa species! Hence why they appear on the 1951 Geological Survey of #India stamps. #philately
About as far as you can misperforate a #stamp! The #SouthAfrica penny ship from 1927. #philately
Seems appropriate to add this: In 2008 I protected this cow from walking along a busy, main road for an hour and a half. I was pre-smartphone, so phoned 118118 to see if they had a number for a local farm. It was an interesting call, trying to explain what I required and why...
