made a pouch matching this tote I made a couple months ago, to hopefully keep myself from losing my keys/earbuds/various tiny items at the bottom of the bag. very pleased with it! except for the sacrifice of a needle to the zipper. 😔
Got massively distracted mid-tutorial by the dream of decorating a HUD. Is there a game where you can add purikura stickers to your own HUD because I would like to play a game where you can add purikura stickers to your own HUD
I'm alternating tutorials with work on a new wizard (doll? sculpture? never sure what to call these. they're wizards.) so I don't spend too much of my day staring at a screen. My older wizards modeling prototype hats for a new wizard / potential wizard design / pillar of flensed mannequin:
Weekend resume polishing: I technically have an IMDB page but it kind of implies I worked on one episode of TV and then fell into a swamp for six years before climbing out again. However. However. I don't want to update it because it sounds like a lot of work. And the swamp thing makes me laugh.
I'm putting off filing for unemployment for one day to hang out at Paper Pushers and do some lino printing, come do some lino printing with us!
a final old work post before I go back to occasional bird pics: I'm thinking fondly of the dumbest (affectionate) name I got into D2. better than Boondoggle. better than the gunpla joke I had to explain word-by-word to loc. I was convinced I'd have to rewrite it. but she endures... Wee-Woo Shell.
I'm gonna end on a silly one. I love the old D1 gun names and I've tried to maintain their spirit wherever possible. Thank you to my colleagues and our players for getting the joke and playing along with me for Something Something, Hullabaloo, and the rest. <3, your pink Warlock.
from yesterday: the Ballard Locks / a little guy who briefly hitched a ride on my t-shirt (later identified by a friend as a rugose stag beetle!)
As a writer I am of course always pleased and proud when I unlock a new adjective. 😌🫡
I wanted to get all the loose squares of fabric off my office floor so I could vacuum, so I spent all day taking getting my quilt project from this (L) to this (R) and I still haven't vacuumed...
I needed a new tote bag so I made myself a new tote bag. It has a pocket. 😌
Seattle locals: you absolutely must visit Paper Pushers Print Shop downtown this summer
Done with work till January, and with it my fifth year in games 🫡 and because it would be too pat otherwise of course I have two pages left over in my current work notebook. I like this ridiculous field of work so much. I hope I can hang around stacking up notebooks for a long time to come.
Video games are everywhere pt. 2: from The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman
dug up two Renegades work doodles, I think both from this summer - Aunor on her fifteen and a post-it note Bael.
Tiny little rug with the worst tension anybody in the world's ever managed. I gave it to my Chrestomanci lion.
terrible first attempt completed. a second attempt to use real materials instead of trash was immediately foiled by deciding I needed to make a shuttle for embroidery floss out of tissue box carton.
need to fidget during meetings? got bored of making friendship bracelets as a fidget during meetings? try making a loom out of trash and weaving as a fidget during meetings. you surely will not regret making a loom out of trash and weaving as a fidget during meetings.
It's been too long since I made a guy, so I made a janky little Chrestomanci lion guy. Body: sculpey, armature wire wrapped with ribbon for volume and security, wool roving for the hair. Clothing: old fabric, a little sewing, mostly hot glue.
