Social worker, therapist, all around sardonic person. Largely unknown but I take up a lot of space in my own mind.
She was at school (Smith) with my mother and I had her wonderful book “The Witch Who Wasn’t” as a child. I still have it! m.media-amazon.com/images/S/com...
Mother’s Day peony from my daughters. I have really learned to love the peony, especially after watching #FlourishedPeony. Now I appreciate all the variations and the longevity of the relationship the gardener has with the flower.
It’s really amazing to see the continuity through time with later, renaissance, aesthetics and work in clay. This reminds me very much of the faience work of Florence and Luca della Robia.
I have been crazy about LiDuanDuan ever since Rebel Princess. Of course I am more crazily in love with www.facebook.com/groups/23039...
Her feet seem to have switched sides. But it makes me think of that picture of Kahn—its a kind of faux defiant/pseudo hot photo i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2022/04/2...
Lan Chi Chili Paste With Garlic disappeared from the market during COVID. I had been cooking with it for roughly 50 years at that point and none of my recipes worked without it. So I invented my own version and just had to make more. Doubenjiang Paste + dried garlic + ground chili fried together.

If you know you know: mydramalist.com/people/18981... The second lead/side villain in #LoveBetweenTheLines is the incomparable Dai Xu who played Chi Yan Nei the scenery chewing, childlike, terror of #ADreamOfSplendor. There was no pratfall too embarrassing for him. I adore him!
local-moda.blogspot.com/2012/10/coin... Everything old is new again. I have one of these Silver Rupee necklaces, myself, made entirely of Raj era silver coins with what Nepalis call “the bald guy” and “the woman” on the face (King Edward and Queen Victoria).
Tragic, romantic (ends well) star crossed lovers: young girl’s family is murdered by young boy’s serial killer father. Terrifying portrayal of a rapist and murderer and how his crimes affect his children and his victims. Jang is the stoic, honorable, hero paying for his father’s crimes against…
A world in which the human settlers become so violent and opposed to the flora and fauna of their new planet that the highly sentient creatures fight back by constantly evolving into more and more dangerous forms. You can’t displace what exists without doing harm to it and to yourself.
Wow, stunning, like a Chinese nature paining in its restraint and formal composition. encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn...
mydramalist.com/photos/Nd4xN... I am currently watching The Rise of Ning and have hit the part which is most important to me: MASSIVE fight over female inheritance. In Nepali terms: fight over the daijo/pewa of a concubine who stole from her husband’s family’s property and converted it to her own.
