first they're doing it alone in empty classrooms and in bed, but now they're doing it out in public with everyone watching... how scandalous...
i got on tai-ari about using SF6 footage last ep, but it's doing much better this week at making the fight scenes feel like a metaphor for gay sex (just wish someone told the girls that the game has movement options other than turning green)
wanna chinkopost, but it's so disappointing when neither the anime script or the subs seem interested in properly adapting the jokes... 😔
what does it say about me that the most "she just like me fr fr" anime character in years has also elicited a near-universal reaction in just about everyone i know of "this shit is too repulsive to even watch"
anyway i'm the one person who watches chainsmoker cat and comes away thinking "damn i gotta develop a drug addiction." my life and housing are only slightly less dogshit than the cat's, but she's got one thing i sure don't. 😌
it's also revealed that he's the older brother to the duel masters delinquent girl from earlier in the series, which is immediately followed by this *absolutely insane* panel. just. god *damn*.
catching up on downer neesan and this boy might *actually* be the horniest design in the series. the things i need to see done to this man, and pronto.
Oh right, I forgot, but *did* I hear about that back when Taiari first came out lol. Shamelessly following your passions at any given moment is just the sign of a great manga author.
they had a whole team of esports cyberathletes collaborating for the match footage and these were the best SF6 combos they could come up with
Someday We’ll Get There is real because halfway through there’s a character who says “see me in a real game” and the main girl suddenly pivots from learning Not Tekken to learning Not EXVS
wow this is doing numbers (derogatory) everyone should read Itsuka Minoreba/Someday We’ll Get There, a short yuri series from 2017 (printed in Comic Yurihime for good measure) that forgets about the yuri to draw long-winded explanations of how frame data works. This manga walked so TaiAri could run.
I think that’s one of the things that might be more apparent in the manga; both sticks have to be some kind of name brand in the anime, but Shirayuri plays on some nondescript Great Value knockoff while giving Aya her TE2 in the manga.
One of the problems with switching to a real fighting game in the anime is that in their second fight, Shirayuri turns things around by throwing fireballs. This stops being believable because nobody in real life has made a game where you have to respect fireballs in 30 years.
also the Razer Panthera is one thing, but I don't care if they're sponsors, who the hell conned this poor girl into buying a MadCatz TE3???
"They made Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games to get people to play Street Fighter 6." Incorrect, they made Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games to get people playing on stick again.
I get the adaptation has to move quick, but I do wish there were room to squeeze in the poop dodging. It's important to remind people that this is still a Corocoro series to keep the rent down.
the author correctly understands how cute she is and even gave her a """good""" """friend""" to boot
dodge danko is a highly questionable series for a lot of reasons, but it's so right, being fat *is* a superpower
a funny thing about the youtube-originals is that the Rewinder character designs in the manga are all very simple with a dress code of a plain suit and tie, so it is hilariously easy to tell which Rewinders were designed by the author and which were designed by some pervert.
Now that I'm caught up on Rewinder, I can check out some of the Youtube-exclusive episodes, and...oh, of *course* jiisan wasn't the first time corocoro tapped into italian brainrot memes, huh.
