#patreon has forced a merger of regular and creator accounts, something no one asked for. I accidentally made a "creator" account years ago and I thought I had deleted it, but apparently not so. So now I have a public "creator" profile I never wanted. 🤦

When Nintendo released Metroid Prime 4 on Switch 2, the info plate they stamped onto the title art to designate it as "Switch 2 Edition" looks like ass. What up Nintendo?

The art features Samus Aran in her armor, hand out as if grasping. A strange violet energy flows through her visor and hand. You know it's psionic energy because it's violet. Behind Samus, in the faded background, are three dreadlocked Muppet-looking alien statues.

The main title text saying "Metroid Prime 4" is done in the standard Metroid Prime styling, with a thin purple sans-serif font underneath saying "Beyond" to designate this sequel's subtitle.

Under the title text, there is a flat violet rectangle with rounded edges that reads "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" in white text. The "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" element vaguely resembles a purple metal plate or sticker, hastily stuck or bolted onto the front of the box as an afterthought. Presumably a Nintendo intern with graphic design as their hobby and a fondness for late-90s-era web design added this element to the title image.

Update: I had one. Surprisingly, despite the coloring and "macho" theming, it was not bacon flavored, it was cheesecake flavored. But I guess that fits too? Honestly, too sweet to really taste any flavor nuance.
