First Tigers game if the post Skubal era, and it’s hot here in Sac! Doesn’t help that we rode our bikes here out from the burbs. Today, I’m sporting the Alan Trammell jersey.
Back for night 2 for the Tigers, and walked in with extended family of reliever Drew Anderson, from Reno! With @bevlikeabbs.bsky.social
Went to the left field beer garden for a bit, where you are not too far from Riley Greene.
Trying to break my in person Tigers losing streak, which is at 6 games. For the occasion I have a new Troy Melton jersey, and Bev has a McGonigle. It’s 103 degrees and Dan Dickerson is probably complaining about it!
James McMurtry and the Martial Law Review, with Betty Soo- Harlow’s, Sacramento. Great show as usual!
Saw Lucero at a winery outside of Sacramento last night. Great show, and pretty bougie compared to the bars and basements of past shows I’ve been to.
In March, we have the Shamrock half/10k/5k on a Sat/Sun, and we start outside the ball field, and you finish inside the park running down the right field line. It’s pretty cool. Sometimes you get a bat.
Local running clubs got to run around the field before the Sacramento River Cats game tonight.
Saw Joe Jackson for the first time tonight in San Francisco- some new stuff, some old stuff- great show.
We walked by our running club’s pizza hangout. And ended the day at Folsom and 48th at the Vintage shop. We’re leaving him there on consignment.
I found this old on the side of road near Placerville. Anyone recognize him?
How it started, how it’s going (32 years later). With a lot of adventures in between.
Belated thank you’s to @metsuniverse.bsky.social , @jaywigley.bsky.social , and @smith6668.bsky.social for the cards from the Sunday @ngtcollectibles.bsky.social thread. I appreciate everyone that puts up cards to give away, and I’ll get back to offering some again this weekend!
Tonight is a minor league ball night with some friends from our run club here in Sacramento. At bat is Detroit Tigers legend Buddy Kennedy, who’s raking in AAA for the River Cats (SF Giants).
You can just stand around with a Pliny the Elder beer, right on the left field line.
Sacramento A’s content- there are no bad seats, they’re cheap, and the A’s are in 1st place in the AL West. Locals should come to the games!
