I should not be posting pics of gorgeous weather in SF but here we are…🤷🏽♂️ Had a great yoga class at one of the downtown gyms yesterday afternoon. My gaydar only pinged once at the large and well equipped gym. Fortunately it was the instructor. Yet another parasocial gym crush. 🥰
Heading off to The Castro for a matinee of the Mandalorian and Grogu with a friend, but who are we kidding? It’s not the Star Wars cinema experience but gushing over our beloved Pedro and cruising the naked dads on a sunny day in the Castro neighborhood. 🤷🏽♂️ Forgive me all my Star Trek friends. 🫠🫠🫠
Dolores Park is happening this weekend. SF Mime Troupe is setting up for their annual event, political commentary and humor. Wreckage A Musical Tragicomedy www.sfmt.org
Hiding out from the crowds up on the rooftop. It’s so crowded with humanity out there at the moment. I didn’t make it to any of the things I had planned. Trying to be kind while dealing with my introverted persona. Didn’t stop me from kissing men on Castro and chatting with strangers. 🤷🏽♂️
Going to small theater preview tonight. Hope I don’t get scared and accidentally cling onto the wrong arm in the audience. 🙈 🐐🩸?
As You Like It at Marin Shakespeare opened last night and thoroughly enjoyed the very queer themed and staged play and cast. I loved the ambiguity of gender and role and the music used - singer Lady Zen was an amazing blues/gospel/ethereal presence. Closing July 19 www.marinshakespeare.org
Saw the lights in the sky and just figured the saucers were making another pickup… but it is art installation. Maybe the saucers will see the lights and swing by to pick us up anyway…
Tuesday night at the movies… with Keke Palmer! A fun and crazy film filmed in SF Bay Area. The chase scene in the SF Center/Westfield Mall was worth the price of admission by itself. The anti-oligarch ending was a pleasant surprise. Needs gay sex, however, to be shown in the Castro Theatre 🤷🏽♂️ 💅🏾
After college, the paper pools got me hooked. Hockney, Diebenkorn, and Thiebaud were my heroes… still carry my Hockney paper pools poster to every home or office job. Pardon the reflections off the lucite glazing, not intended to make nude art here… at the moment anyway…
Talking heads album cover by Hockney caused a stir with my art school friends and the Polaroid collage mania. More Songs About Buildings and Food, 1978.
The prior movie that I saw here was Taylor Mac documentary “24 decade …” 3 years ago before theater closed for the restoration during Pride 2023. We were lucky enough to get seats next to a knowledgeable theater neighbor (Hartford St) who gave a brief lecture on the restoration on his phone. ☺️💕
A gaggle of us went to The Castro to see the Devil Wears Prada 2 last night, my first time inside the lavishly restored theater since it reopened. Oh the gay gasps and laughs at appropriate times are so worth it, the community of audience.💕 Delicious quotes ready to read frenemies.
Flagging in the Park is such a joyful queer thing, another month in the social season and another FITP enjoyed today. Even without my gym crush model there to flag and say hi to me. I flagged a bit too, but gotta remember to find my flags and practice before next month to increase arm stamina.
Gay boys will be gay boys… regardless of age, and body dysmorphia reigns supreme. Let the shenanigans begin…
Room on the couch now for you in the encore… the other guests have left. Popcorn or pineapple for snacks? 😇😂💜
Lazy Tuesday night at home watching Pillion, good laughs for subtle realism and truths that will be missed by straights. Cue secret handshake. I need to believe that the penis shown on Skarsgaard was not prosthetic. (He said it was on Colbert 😏). Surprisingly hopeful message with giggles+boner. 😎
The link doesn’t add much. But 9 hours ago was 1am. You can draw your own conclusions. 🥃🍸🤷🏽♂️
An Attempted Murder! I love the whimsical images of playing with scale in the park. Most are in the proper Golden Gate Park, this installation is in the Panhandle. 😂😂😂 www.bigartloop.org/jack-champio...
Can’t quite see Ft Baker hiding on the left, where Starfleet Academy will occupy in a few short centuries. But a peaceful view nonetheless. 🪷
When asked if it was Art or work, he replied “It’s a work of art”. Thank you to all creators of public art.
A beautiful muralist just finished this mural at the gaymer bar across the street.
Nothing quite like the blast of color from bougainvillea, yeah, Spring in SF and Summer is around the corner.
