Transportation & climate @NJPolicy.bsky.social. Being from New Jersey is like 50% of my personality. she/they
Today my mom told everyone on this local radio station’s Facebook page about how I unintentionally kidnapped my niece (we walked away and no one heard me say I had her) and set off a zoo-wide panic
Fun fact: I used to babysit Bernie Wagenblast’s (the voice of the MTA) grandchildren. Her daughter, the mother of these children, still talks about these photos I sent her once.
I saw the most beautiful big oak tree, ate dozens of uncrustables (don’t sleep on the new apple cinnamon ones), and saw stunning wildlife!
I think it’s very cool and normal that a few days of regular storms — not even hurricanes or superstorms — can shut down the state for days. I’m glad no one is changing our infrastructure laws or trying to fund better climate resiliency…
listen. you’ll look like a dumbass but these nets are one of my must-packs when I go on hiking trips. best used with a wide brim hat!
spent a few days in the woods at Brendan T Byrne state forest! I hiked almost 10 miles, the longest since my surgery. feeling super grateful for NJ’s natural spaces, fresh blueberries, and uncrustables 💜
I cannot be allowed to film videos outside I got distracted by a cool seed pod anyway follow us on @/njpolicy on TT & insta if you aren’t already!!!
HOLY SHIT THEY REALLY DID CHANGE THE SIGN TO SAY NEW JERSEY NEW YORK I LOVE MY GOVERNOR
shoutout to my colleague who, in the middle of a meeting today, asked if I was wearing a Spurs hat. no it’s actually an American Bird Conservatory hat with a hummingbird on it thank u for mistaking me for someone else for a second tho
Today Gov Sherrill kept her promise for more affordable energy by announcing her endorsement of several bills to protect people from data centers! Together we can make sure they pay their fair share, pollute less, and support communities & workers alike.
A perfect day in a walkable neighborhood: stopping at the Greek grocer for a slice of spinach pie, then at the coffee place for a gay little matcha drink, then reading under a budding cherry tree 💚
when I visited NOVA the other week I saw daffodils and it reminded me of my favorite poem of all time. enjoy 💛☀️
Today we joined @njlcv.bsky.social at the unveiling of their common agenda! I spoke about the need to reform PJM and to hold data center companies accountable for their role in higher electric bills. Together we can make New Jersey affordable for all!
HudCo friends I have been coerced into attending Buffy prom at white eagle! Who’s with me 😎😎😎
It’s transit equity week, so of course the Trump administration is blocking one of the most important transit projects in the country. “It’s madness here to see the federal government attack jobs, attack the economy, attack affordability.” -Gov Sherrill
Protecting families and businesses from future flooding will not just save us all money, but will save LIVES. Stay mad bro 😎
I know it’s an historic day in Jersey but I need everyone to know that yesterday a literal groundbreaking scientific paper was published with the first-ever documented flexible tool use in cows????
If Tr*mp enacts data center tariffs before we do I’m quitting my job forever bc like nothing funnier will ever happen to me
TBT to one of the wildest days in Trenton. Not pictured: the kid holding a sign saying “GOD MADE ME PERFECT.” the kid was wearing glasses.
You can really tell how little our society cares about bus riders after it snows.
Wearing my most nonpartisan hat to volunteer at the polls this morning!
TBT to canvassing with @mikiesherrill.bsky.social in our doc martens 😎😎😎
My friend in Asbury Park found this kitten who needs a new home! She gets along VERY well with other cats and is VERY sweet. If you are interested let me know and I’ll connect you! (My friend has dubbed her Peewee bc she is very small and wears a gray & white suit)
Let this slack message I sent to my staff while in the midst of a fever 3 years ago serve as a warning to get your flu shot
The way this is written in past tense conveys a kind of unintentional wistful optimism tbh
