So much of the AI stuff thrown at me is basically "X is dead - here's why you should mindlessly go all-in on Y". No thanks!
I'd be surprised if it wouldn't? I imagine most downloads are from CI pipelines, and when there's less people committing (due to holidays), there's less downloads? The hypothesis holds for my package, at least. 🙂
Rage Click detected by Sentry... interesting, first one for me. Couldn't figure out why the user did what they did though. docs.sentry.io/product/issu...
AI is revolutionizing software and surely anytime now will bring an explosion of quality and productivity. Meanwhile, in a Google Doc far, far away...
Slowly preparing to move to a new office, closer to my home. I’m going to miss the 🌊 😩
Migrated STRICH's NPM deployment pipeline to staged publishing today. Doing my part! 🫡
I am so looking forward to my first flight on an AI-built airplane. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/11/t... 😱🫠
Huh, #GitLab down for me this morning. Well, I wanted to go for a walk anyway. 🌳
I never type Alistair, but Alex... oh well! This technology is going to replace us.
Working on an upcoming presentation for a local meetup (working title: "Monetizing JavaScript – Building Profitable Products as a Solo Dev"). Slides are a bit over the top. 😂
"I mourn the death of an art form" - This HN comment sounds cheesy, but it encapsulates perfectly how I feel about most stuff coming out now. If it's zero effort to do <thing>, then <thing> becomes worthless and uninteresting to me. Source: news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4808...
Can we start admitting that customer support chatbots, no matter how "smart", are a failed experiment that should be filed under "Kill it with Fire"? It's so annoying to have to "insist" on a human to solve a problem that a chatbot claims there's no way to fix.
I've had three months time to prepare this presentation, of course I only start working on it for real 2 days before the date... why does it always have to be like this. 😫
Got an Earthquake warning on iOS last night, but the warning was suppressed by Do Not Disturb mode. I think that might be taking it a bit too far 🙂. The shaking woke me up (magnitude 5.4, all good).
Huh, first time this popped up, don’t remember agreeing to Siri reading my mal. 😠
Playing some Fortnite with my daughter and then the job creeps in. <img id=“VBucksIcon” for the win!
Ok, you made me dig up an iPhone 6S and iPhone SE 1st-gen, both updated to iOS 15.8.7! Strangely these have an issue with my CSS. I am not investigating. 🙂
One of the reasons I love working on my product (strich.io) is that it's rooted in the physical world. To test it, you need to go out in the field. The store manager of the supermarket that I just went to for testing asked me "what the hell are you doing?" 😂
Enough is enough. Price increases for AI features I don't use, and now "special offers in your inbox"??? Moving to Proton this year.
10yr old iPhone 7 which I use as a low-end iOS test device just received an OS update. Appreciated, but usually means there's some catastrophic exploit in the wild. 👹
