I am imagining the need for the jacket I was wearing on this lovely afternoon downtown. We were in the Navy Yard neighborhood, and this pedestrian bridge was so pretty in the bright blue sky.

A mid-April visit to the National Arboretum

In the Azalea Garden just past peak bloom. Red, pink and magenta bushes with a meandering dirt path. Lovely and peaceful

Soon these buds will bloom! They will be gorgeous, wine colored magnolia flowers.

I believe this is called a cat tail, and it's going to seed. In the meadow at the Glenstone.

This stone hut is along the woodland trail at the Glenstone. There is art inside, but it's closed in the winter.

The Glenstone is a fabulous place to walk. To meet a friend, or not. I do love it when the moon is full.

The full moon hangs between the art called "Sylvester", and another piece of art which I don't understand. The moon though, is somewhat hidden.

Yesterday a bit of excitement for me and a young rat snake. We both wanted to use my bathroom at the same time. I'm very grateful to my friend who was willing to come up and help me capture and release young snake. Here are before and after pictures:
