In a nutshell:

Even on the global stage, trickle-down theory has been conclusively debunked, as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) found “that increasing the income share of the poor and the middle class actually increases growth while a rising income share of the top 20 percent results in lower growth—that is, when the rich get richer, benefits do not trickle down.” Equally telling is that, since the start of the upwardly redistributive tax policies of the 1980s, world economic growth has slowed considerably. Whereas global GDP per capita grew by a yearly average of almost 2.8 percent during the 1960s and 1970s, growth from the 1980s to present has virtually halved, resting at just over 1.4 percent per annum. Clearly, the theorized economic growth brought about by pro-rich tax policies has not manifested itself.

Ended up here for #WorldCupFantasy for MD1. 7/15 players <5%: Crépeau, Giménez, Gannon-Doak (fun 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 punt!), Embolo, Galindez, Mojica, and Rodriguez (who scraped under 5% at the end. Phew). Max Cap, because IMHO GW1 and GW2 are the best weeks for that and 12th man, and 12th man is better next week.

BB GW1 seemed such a great 'strategy' at the time. Effectively a WC into a BB. Only... In hindsight, you've zero information other than pre-season friendlies. An utter waste of a BB in my case! Also, no Haaland only lasted to GW6.

Finally tracked down some local craft on Lake Como (from a delightful wine shop in Bellano). An Irish Stout from Pintalpina based out of Valtellina, coming in at 4.3% abv, a perfect finisher for the evening after much red wine, meat and cheese. #BskyBeer

A 500ml bottle of 'Crasc', an Irish Stout style from Pintalpina from Valtellina in Italy. At 4.3% abv it's full of flavour and a perfect finisher after a rich meal.

#FPL GW36 review Can‘t help but be disappointed that an 81, against an average 65, a GWRank of 3m, is a 2pt red arrow. I‘ve had a great run in the 2nd half of the season, please don’t let it stutter out now! Got the bench calls right. Just needed more attacking returns. Two weeks to go!

My FPL GW36 team at end of week: 81 points all out. Verbruggen with 1 game beat Henderson with 2 (haha!), Gabriel, Senesi, Hinshelwood, Semenyo, and inevitably Haaland all returned. Bruno F, Saka, Gyokeres and Welbeck let me down, let their team down, and most of all let themselves down. I expect them to do better next week.

#FPL GW36 🔒 JP ♻️ Gyökeres 2FT 📈338k 🏦 £2.3m JP to Gyök not a straight-forward call, but I want 3x Arsenal next week, and I favour Arsenal vs whu over Chelsea vs liv. Even though Liverpool can’t defend. Chelsea just seem to be in free-fall. Palace an easy avoid for me. Good luck everyone! 🤞

#FPL GW35 review. 69 pts and a healthy ⬆️ ✅ Palmer to Saka, Senesi over Hill, keeping JP, Haaland ©️ ❌ Going 4-3-3 for the 1st time this season with Struijk and O’Reilly, Hinshelwood and Hill on the bench. All in all, very happy with how GW35 turned out, especially stealing a march with Saka.

#FPL GW34 🔒-ish. FH active. 📈520k (+140k) 🏦£0.2m After last week's relative shambles (despite the rank gain), the wind has been knocked from my sails. Just seeing it out now. Hence, can't be bothered being maverick on the FH. Templates-R-Us. If I can scrape top 500k, it'll do. Good luck! 🤞

#FPL DGW33 review. Massive disappointment tbh. Got a lot of 50/50 calls wrong, and didn't get anywhere near the high 120s/130s I've seen elsewhere. No Van Hecke, Gross, Justin, Okafor, Truffert, MGW, Cherki - I missed out on all the big points. Sole bright side - at least I'm not stuck with DCL.

An absolute shambles of a WC32 / BBDGW33 team, somehow managing to fuck most of the amazing points which were on offer. I've seen FH33 teams massively outscore this BB shambles. Gabriel. João Pedro. 🤮
