Cuisine, travel, nature, diy, sci-fi, fantasy, and theme parties. My garden is more square footage than my house, and that's bonkers. Centre-left with friends on both sides, just don't be disrespectful. Life is too short. 🇨🇦🏴🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈⚽️⛳️🥎
BC. Spinach was the same supplier. Bought at Family Foods (Stonewall location)
We didn't head over today. (Yet, might around 730-8 when the back half of main stage is in shade) Fortunately the wind is carrying wafts of the music to the RV section. Spray bottles, kiddie pool, bucket shower and this contraption is keeping us coherent.
Hooray! After finding zero monarch eggs on my milkweed all last year, (smoky summer - wildfires) I just found 11! So many ditches are still filled with water after our 10 inches of rainfall last week so alot of wild milkweed is under water 😞 Chez Ally is all cleaned up and ready for hatchlings!
My friend and former classmate Cam Tate owns a sharpening buisness The Razors Edge. He's a red seal chef, writes recipe columns for Outdoor Canada magazine and In Fisherman. Trade shows too. Headingly area.
Eyes up this week, Canada! Strong chance of Northern lights Thursday and Friday!
The Weather Network app has notifications and a banner stays up on the home screen.
Bang bang salmon in the air fryer, with Edemame. Took less prep and cook time than the rice. Going into the summer rotation as a "too pooped from gardening to cook" dinner. 🍽
Calling Manitoba golfers! Come support a great cause! Message me for deets or visit Winnipeg Boxer Rescue's golf tournament facebook page.
Chapman's Coffee Chip ice cream+choc & caramel syrup+toasted almonds= lazy Billy Miner Pie (aka: Mud Pie, mocha ice cream pie) 😋 Alas, no oreos on hand for crumbly topping. Sigh. I'll live. Lol
All hail, the pork cutlet sandwich. Pounded loin, velveted, dbl dipped in John Henry's maple bacon seasoned flour, served on a brioche bun. The pic doesn't do it justice. Lol
He never ceases to impress. While we have plans to build a small reclaimed window greenhouse for hardening off plants and slightly extending the growing season, he has taken the frames of 2 old 10x10 sun shelters and made me an 8x10 temporary version.
Still eating potatoes and carrots from last fall's harvest! So lucky to have a cold room. A few of the potatoes are starting to bud so it's that time to sort some out as my seed potatoes and making some fries and perogys for freezing!
She has a perfectly comfy blankey, in the window, 18 inches from my chair, also in the sun...but I still don't have the heart to shift her...lol
Opened up to check a new (unopened) stacking plant pot I picked up at a church garage sale today. Lightning bug approved. 💡🪰✅️
The only snow left is shadow lurking and pond is still half frozen, but the pussywillows are budding out and the day lilies and tulips are standing proud. #finallyspring
So many Juncos, Lucy gave up. Pictured is about a 3rd of what's in my yard at the moment. Best spilt seed clean up crew there is!
Dinner! And lunch, and hopefully enough dinner for one tomorrow while hubs and I have a night out at a steak house for a friend's birthday.
What to make with excess crab stuffing from the shrooms on the weekend...why, stuffed salmon, of course! Avec rice pilaf and veg.
Happy start of Ladybug Imposter season, for all who celebrate. I've evicted 12 out the door already. The melt has begun, they just need to tough it out a little longer. Lol
FFS, this AGAIN?? Seems the Con-voyers have too much time and money on their hands again and feel the need to burn more very expensive gas whilst screwing up people's start to the May long weekend. I'm sure that'll garner the support they want. Geniuses. 🤦♀️
In Canada, we can check a box on our tax returns. When an election is called we get a card in the mail with early voting and election day locations. (Not always the same). All that's required. Want a brain bomb? Look up our ID/verification options on elections.ca if you lose or forget your card. Lol
Making the 4 dozen cupcakes for a friend's baby shower this weekend, with "How to Train Your Baby Dragon" theme. My kid is in his 30's, I only saw the first one...thank goodness for Pinterest. Lol Anyway, playing around with decor for the stand. Hubs cut and routered me some wood for my plate stand.
Happy Monday to me! The grocery store had these on a "free plants" rack! After a re-pot and a chop, they will be looking fab in my garden this spring!
Other than searching the flyers and SM posts for sales, (pic was a recent FB post from a Wpg grocer) best we are finding is a local farmer and get a butchering package or find a few friends to split half a cow.
