Poor Miso, there’s a storm raging outside, thunder sounds like it’s right over the house. Hard to explain to him that it will pass, he’s very scared.

I didn’t expect a Hawfinch to visit, everything I’ve read about them says they are shy and secretive, live in the forests, best time to see them is winter. Feeling genuinely surprised and happy to welcome him/ her.

Goldfinches have arrived. Beautiful birds. There’s a second one just out of the picture.

Green finches have forked tails. All you seasoned birdwatchers knew this. I didn’t 😍

Nuthatch is back, look at that sparrow, staring intently, have to share it, everyone is welcome (apart from the crowd and magpies)

Fits Greenfinch at the feeders today. Very pretty bird.

A couple of updates from the feeding station, we had our first nuthatch make several visits so far today. Fascinating to watch them walk face down in the trees. The woodpecker visits saily and the Great Tits have started tapping on the window! I thought only seagulls did that

My first harvest ever. Feeling more smug than I should feel. To think I did all that hard work of repotting the plant from the garden centre. And give some water. But still.. 🤣🤣

Oh my days! I was filling the bird bath, about 2 feet away from me, a Great Tit chick. Didn’t fly away, just kept eating. I left quickly to not disturb them, trying to send safe signals to all the birds visiting the feeders

He’s a conman. Him and his mates have probably made money from this shit show.

The Blue Tits brought their chick to the feeder today. Excuse the rubbish photo. It’s such a privilege to watch.

Glad to report the sparrow nursery was a success. The babies are now independent, no adults in attendance anymore. Today this happened, 2 adult Great Tits brought a bunch of babies to the feeding station, captured 4 together but we’ve counted 7 in total. They are so cute. So glad to have them. 😍

Difficult to get a pic of them all but we’ve counted about 10 so far. Rubbish pic of the woodpecker today, stayed longer today so the confidence is building up 😍

We seem to have a sparrow nursery near the feeding station. They’ve been making practice flights today. So cute to watch. The adults come back from time to check them. The woodpecker has visited again today, there’s also a great tit with a chick, couple of coal tit and blue tits too. Very happy.

Chilly, grey day today. Still they both insisted on being outside. Miso keeping an eye on everything like the good watch dog he is. Eddie fell asleep on the job. 🙄😂

Last one I promise, he/ she has just come back again. Posting a pic my man took, much better than mine. Can’t go out now. Can’t leave when this treasure is visiting. Such a privilege
