Can you imagine ghosting your job and all your clients for months and then showing up like "hahaha, I'm not dead as far as you know, thanks for keeping the paychecks and platinum health insurance flowing while I kept you guessing" I can't.

I kinda did that, I think? By reading six books and attending zero events. And it definitely felt like cheating, in part because two of the books were fluffy romance about sexy witches. Maybe I'll wear the hat today!

This is what the United States of America sounded like in public, once. One sentence. Many parts brought together in complicated harmony to fill the mind and heart with pride, curiosity, and ambition.

The cops let this guy keep his gun in the hospital. He shot his way out. Did he leave the hospital buck naked, armed, and unobserved before or after every cop on the north side descended on Swedish?
