Adding to this: we might assume Trump increased sexist attitudes among Republicans, but if we look at the ANES panel and target folks who remained in the same party between 2016 and 2024, we don't see much there. Only real change is Democrats becoming less sexist.

Motivated by a somewhat puzzling result in a project, wanted to see how the links between partisanship & views of various salient social groups gave changed over time. Some interesting stuff in the ANES, including places where things have changed and not, plus relative magnitudes across groups.

New piece with Jenn Chudy that grew from discussion about system views. We think about different types of in-group attitudes link to political trust for Black, Latino, and white Americans since 2012. We find a lot of conditionality, though not clearly across race as we expected. rdcu.be/fpYjj
