The Marriott hotel room designers & all who signed off on an opaque glass door with a gap for the bathroom next to the bed should be fired & never allowed to design hospitality services ever again. This is the Courtyard Marriott at CDG Paris.

The choir did 6 songs with a trio then we did 6 more, 7 if you count the improv piece. I've never played with a full choir behind me and it was an amazing rush. Music director Josh leads with creativity, joy, & warmth and that was reflected on the night.

I did a music thing! For the first time in ages & it was such a joy. I played in the Rough Music ensemble for a joint show w/ The Population Choir. A joyful night of songs, played to a full house at Union in Copenhagen.

Tinariwen were magical. The vibe built & built & by the end of the gigt a concert hall full of Danes (+ more than a few Middle Eastern & North African compatriots) were dancing in the aisles. One of the better shows I’ve been to in a while, full of a genuine joy that was created by band & audience.

Spent a bit more than I'd normally want to but it was an RSD release actually worth getting. Geffen wouldn't let him release this version & instead made him work with Geoff Emerick on the overproduced but still ok Songs From the Film. This "lost" version was worth the wait and the money.

Celebrating the 1st proper spring day with a beer by the canal, watching the boats & bikes go by.

Adorable. We have a grey one like that, Nugget, in front on this pic. It's from a late summer 2024 when she was about 5 or 6 months old. Behind her is the happy doofus Potato. The pic makes her look a bit darker than she is.

Happy gotcha day to our sweet doofus Potato (nee Dallas, then Dalias). We got him 3 years ago as a rescue via a foster home, when he was 4 1/2 years old. He was a good friend & playmate to senior cat Leo (RIP) & now a good friend & playmate to Nugget. A great cat, a kind soul. #catsofbluesky #cats

Just finished "Everything Will Swallow You" by @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social A beautiful & moving story about friendship & lives well-led. It's whimsical (sort-of) magical realism that introduces you to people w/ special qualities, people you are sad to leave when the book ends. Get it, read it.
