Sci-fi and Horror writer (anything with monsters in it) while also trying to balance being a parent and functional human being. I'm also a novice at climbing and painting Warhammer but I'm very proud of what I've achieved
Getting back into Martial arts after a 7 year break... Train like I used to in my 20s and 30s. What's the worst that could happen.... #karate #middleagecrisis #karateinjury
The wings took absolutely ages. Really happy with the carapace. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #tyranids
I finished CHILDREN OF STRIFE from @aptshadow.bsky.social. I think this is my second favourite from the CHILDREN OF series. I loved every bit of it. The expansion of the universe works really well. However CHILDREN OF TIME will always be my favourite. #Novel #Sci-fi #ScienceFiction
My short story OLIVER'S STAIRS will be read out on Kaidankai on 1st July. I'm really excited to hear my work professionally read. Please check it out at www.kaidankaistories.com #writting #writingcommunity #shortstory #horror #horrorwriter
Really happy with how these guys have turned out. #warhammer #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity #spacewolves
Light undercoat Vs Dark undercoat. Otherwise I used the same paints on both. I think the dark undercoat gives a bigger tone range. The high notes are the same on both but the dark undercoat gives more depth to the recesses #Warhammer40k #Warhammercommunity #Spacewolves
After experimenting with light and dark undercoats, I prefer the dark. Both give the same high tones but the darker undercoat adds more depth to recesses and so gives a bigger range. #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #spacewolves
This time last year I wouldn't have even attempted doing slopers #bouldering #climbing
Did more work on my old models. Added dry brushing and edge highlighting. Probably the best I can do without stripping the paint off. I'm gonna stop using mythiston red as it absorbs everything you put on top. Wanna use flesh tearer red as a base. #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #bloodangels
Brain: Remember that dreadnought you painted a year ago when you had no idea what you were doing? Me: Yes Brain: You could go back and make it way better. Me: Maybe Brain: You could do it right now Me: No I have other stuff to paint. Brain: Do it! #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #bloodangels
What did you undercoat with? I'm currently experimenting using white a Fang grey undercoat and I can't decide which is better
Been enjoying painting orks way more than I ever thought I would #WarhammerCommunity #Orks #SpaceOrks
So I've been doing lots of work to figure out how I can improve the Blood Angels I painted last year when all I knew was based with Red & apply Nuln oil for shade. A combination of dry brushing and edge highlighting has made a big improvement. #warhammercommunity #bloodangels
Rejoining the single market is inevitable. #rejoin #rejoinEU #StopReform
I have a new toy. Hopefully this will help me get better at edge highlighting #warhammercommunity
Writing afternoon. I really need to finish the completely non-speculative short story I'm working on so I can go back to writing weird supernatural shit #writing #creativewriting
Still can't defeat my nemesis (the blue underhang) #climbing #bouldering
Told my 6 year old he could make something with my spare parts and I'd paint it. I don't know the chapter name but their gene flaw is that Rubicon surgery only works on their upper half. His power is from a black legion set but he has a note from the inquisition #warhammercommunity #Spacemarine
Before and after adding some edge highlighting to my old Blood Angels to try and make them feel better. I don't think I've mastered the technique yet, they've come out a little too orange. I need to remember that less is more #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity #bloodangels
Possibly the most complex thing I've painted so far. Pretty happy with the result. #Warhammer #WarhammerCommunity #Orks #Orks40k
New tattoo. Different style to my others but I'm really pleased with it #Tattoo #NewTattoo
Growth is looking at a dreadnought I painted a year ago and going "this is crap, all I did was base it & pour nuln oil over it, how did I think this looked good?" Wisdom is realising works like this are why I can paint better now. It's the same with my writing. #Warhammer #WarhammerCommunity
