Amy Donahue for Congress
@amydforcongress
Official campaign account for Amy Donahue for Congress (WI CD4). I’m here to tax the rich, get healthcare for all, protect public education, enact real public safety, save our planet, and free Palestine. They/she/he.
Realized I haven’t posted here in a while. Reminder: there is ongoing genocide in Palestine, Turtle Island, and elsewhere. Here’s me knocking doors yesterday.
Thanks to @indivisiblesewisc.bsky.social South Shore for organizing this gubernatorial candidate forum on education. Questions on public school funding and mental health support have been discussed so far.
Please help spread the word!! When you enter, you get a hand stamp, so you can come and go as you wish (eg, to go to the Pride Parade; and if you do that, challenge the pinkwashing y’all)! Hope to see you there. 🇵🇸 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ celebrating-palestine-2026.raiselysite.com
The billionaires in the US are working hard to make sure we don’t have the energy and resources to question our complicity in genocide in Palestine and how to heal from our own (and ongoing) history of chattel slavery and genocide of indigenous people. But we do have power.
At the end of the show, Dorion shared that the Milwaukee Hittaz, local drum corps, need help replacing their sticks and drumheads after loss from the recent flooding ❤️🩹 let’s show them love & make sure they reach their goal ASAP! www.facebook.com/share/1LkeBr...
Paraphrasing Amy Goodman, corporate media is not the mainstream media. They are silencing the mainstream, the people who care are the majority and therefore the mainstream. Continue supporting people powered data centers: independent media, libraries, public schools, museums.
While I’m posting, here’s an important action today: Join MKE Turners and Milwaukee4Palestine and our community to demand MPS get rid of Flock and all other automated license plate readers. You can give public comment, or fill out a form stating your position. City Hall 301-b at 5:30pm.
‘Belonging is connection, cohesion, and civic engagement. And requires that the vital conditions of health and wellness are met.’
Tatiana Maida: “representation matters.” But by itself, it’s not enough. Visibility is scrutiny, code switching and assimilation happens. The experience for many people of color is outsider inside the room. Representation is not *belonging*.
Call to support all the important work that pathfinders does in Milwaukee, supporting young people ❤️ pathfindersmke.org
Those phrases need to be considered for everything from Special Olympics Wisconsin to the Forest County Potawatomi as represented on by the amazing speakers on this panel. And for me, from IntrospectDNA to the MPS budget to running for office.
I’m grateful to be able to attend the @medicalcollegeofwi.bsky.social Community Engagement Conference. I’m here as a genetic counselor who is committed to community work, but I can’t separate that from all my other hats. “Nothing about us, without us; if not me than who.”
Launch party is finally here! Monday, 4/27, from 5:30-7:30pm. Come for @bintjamilastable and @falconbowlmke, stay to learn about my campaign and why I’m running for #medicareforall, #blockthebombs, and more. www.facebook.com/share/p/1CRH...
