It's hard to reconcile how beautiful this looks with what it means. The orange sky, more than a sunset. Smoke fills the valley, making it hard to breathe. What was once an occasional crisis is becoming just another part of summer. Beauty can exist alongside grief. Today, they share the same sky.

This is what reconciliation and decolonization look like. Choosing humility over hostility, relationship over division, and remembering that colonialism taught us to turn on one another. Healing doesn't require agreement. It requires respect.

You can't protect children from racism by pretending it doesn't exist. Some children experience discrimination long before they're old enough to understand why. Teaching honesty, empathy, and the history of racism doesn't create division. It helps raise kinder, more compassionate people.

Who's lobbying who, pierre? Who's sitting at your table whispering in your ear? Funny how the loudest accusations about influence often come from people surrounded by corporate lobbyists. Canadians deserve transparency, not projection.
