Don't know how else to tell my Italian fellows: stop using Meta and X. They're no longer social media; they're just tools for fascist propaganda, as demonstrated by X's role in provoking the clashes in Northern Ireland, and—on a smaller scale—by Facebook's role in yesterday's tensions here in Genoa.

I just posted this in an Italian private chat while discussing “remigration,” so I’m sharing it here as well. Context and description in the ALT text.

My great-grandfather Antonio Luti listed on the alien passengers manifest of the transatlantic liner Europa, sailing from Genoa to New York, on May 22, 1907. He had actually been there since 1896 and had become an American citizen, but his citizenship was revoked, and he was forced to return to Italy in 1913 with his entire family, including my grandmother Mary, who was born in Pittsburgh in 1903.
