#WritingCommunity - might be an old #question, but hey, I'm always up to date! Do you name #chapters? I do - name & number - 1 reason? It helps my dyslexic brain remember what's in it. If you ask me what's in chapter 16, I have 0 idea - tell me it's called Dr Cruise, & I know exactly what's in it.

Well, I consider myself educated. Never ever heard of it as a "octothorpe", though - maybe google ai is just lying to me 😂

Went out into the woods here (Sweden) yesterday & took pictures of #plants. No #AI, no #filters - just actual photos of real living things. 👇 was shot on a Nikon d780 at ISO 2800, 70mm, 1/8000sec f2.8, & Nikon VR 24-70 lense As my dad would say - sometimes it's good to just stop & smell the flowers.

Worked with a horror writer to direct sizzle reel of a feature. When thinking about a character's voice, I look at their attitude toward things they find weird & summarise them in T-shirt form 😜 Anderson: doesn't understand holidays; all people do is drink Esme: she'd rather eat dirt than vanilla ice cream #writingcommunity How do you find a character's voice?
I write & then edit at the end, after a month's break - unless I'm writing to a paid deadline (a film, etc) How I edit my book.. I use my simple screenplay feedback thing 👇 - and do 1 edit focusing on each. Once I've done all of those, I have a 2nd draft. Then I pause for a month and re-read.

Daughter (12) taught herself #Procreate. She now #draws on it a lot. [I know- proud oversharing 🤦 ] This 👇 was a 40-minute creation she did the other day - from her imagination - reduced to 2 or so minutes. In the days of #AI slop creation, I think this kind of #creativity needs to be encouraged.
