I did this work to get the effect of depth and color in nature, focusing on the energy of the moment rather than a graphic realism depiction. It's done on canvas with elements of pigment inks acrylic and more, so mixed media.

This is a work that explores the light interacting with leaves with the contrast of near and far views ultimately to blue sky. This work starts with a single in camera full frame image created at the time. Then I digitally process it maintaining the single frame as the base, for a pigment ink rendition on canvas. I combined a few different art on canvas techniques to get there, so it's mixed media I would say in the end.

This canvas was created starting with abstract photography of mine. I used a digital camera with photographic processing software so the image could be considered digital and manipulated.
