It’s @lyserg.bsky.social’s last cube night in America, so at his request he went full Bobby Fischer and triple queued in THREE cubes at once. He 3-0’d two of those drafts and none of his rounds went to time.

It’s easy to cut cards from your cube! Just remember that the person that added the card (you) is stupid!
Catching up on scanning the altered Ornithopters from Shoebox and doing a full inventory. I have a small conundrum: Do you count these ornithopters, with very minimal doodles, as “altered”? Do you think they were the result of a 3-0 draft, or just vandalized while being tallied?
Does the second half of this roto change how you feel about your previous favorite column?

It’s happening as we speak! @jenn-the-judge.bsky.social had the great idea to give the drafters something to remember the occasion by, so I scoured the bins at one of the vendors and @janemckinney.bsky.social helped me come up with this.
Day two stone soup at @shoebox.gg. I fucking love this format. I was skating for a long time with no win conditions while drafting this Jeskai control deck. I got the whale late pack 3 and I kinda don’t wanna play it just so I can say I’m fully creatureless.
Assuming it fires in every round, the 6th draft of 100 Ornithopters at @shoebox.gg will be the 69th draft, which I feel is important information for potential alterers to know. Ornithopter #69 is already named and claimed, though.
Late last year our cube playgroup outgrew our LGS and moved to a local brewery. I was worried we might struggle to find new people in the new space, but we’re 36 tonight with lots of new faces!
Not really an option. Window is set in a 14inch sill, and off center with the sink (which will be in the right corner, you can see where the old one was removed.

Free Cube idea for someone that feels inspired: a cube that only includes cards first printed in sets Richard Garfield was on the design team for. A very cool collection of sets/mechanics to build a cube around, with a compelling and concise log line.
What are some mechanically simple cards, ideally in black, that you would prefer to discard? I’ve already looked through all the cards with the madness mechanic, so no need to mention any of those.
