This was the window display of the apothecary shop down the street for a long time. I am totally obsessed with this cabinet. Look at the ray flecking in the oak. Sigh. I realize that you probably mean an apothecary chest but this is such a beautiful cabinet.

I may have just found my favorite tiny free library.

A large stump of a tree. With a Victorian roof on it.

The tree stump has had an arched door inset.

Apparently the stump has been hollowed. Inside there are three rough, thick, live-edge slabs of wood that have been assembled into a book shelf with rows of free books on them.

French is beautiful to my ears but has never made any sense whatsoever to my brain. I can’t even hear when one word ends and another begins. I probably won’t be doing that. 😀 Had a tree guy give me a bunch of apple branches, BTW. I love it.

I took a picture of NCAR from a little farther away to remember it by if we lose it. It’s a fantastic place and tons of trails up to that mountain start from that parking lot, which the employees have always been happy to share with the public. I’m sure some Trump supporter has eyes on the land.

We had a big elk hanging around the pond trails for a few days a few years ago. (Note: That’s not our dog.) I finally saw a dog completely lose its mind barking and the big guy lumbered away, never to return. That made me so sad.
