it's been a tough week in the office saying goodbye to our morning show crew While I've only spent just under two years at Global, the morning show has been a fixture of our newsroom for thirteen years. Keep tuning in to the morning to see the local work from all of us, just in a different package
Here's to many more years! Can't wait to see where this journey takes me.
I went to journalism school committed to staying out of TV News, and now I can't see myself doing this job without a camera. I'm so thankful for everyone that's given me a chance, given me advice, and welcomed me into their home to tell me their stories.
This month marks three years since I started working in journalism full-time! It's been a wild journey that's taken me to various parts of Nova Scotia and has taught me not just about the province but also a lot about myself.
Spent a hot and lovely day down in Keji for an assignment I’m working on and hoping to have out next week before I’m off on vacation :)
My office for today! Very happy to be outside and enjoyjng the baby geese 🪿
Pretty excited to have been nominated for an RTDNA award for my story on wildfire air patrols in the province! Big shout out to all my colleagues as well who have been nominated today for the Atlantic Journalism Awards and for the RTDNAs.
I spent all of spring and summer 2020 researching and bearing witness to the victims of the disaster and anaylizing just how different western and Soviet journalistic perspectives were on the disaster. I watched the mini-series like 10 times and read so many memoirs and news reports
Fairly large turn out for the All Hands on Deck rally outside Province House
Students are picketing at NSCAD as today marks day 2 of the Nova Scotia Student Strike. I'll have a story on the situation for the 6 o'clock news.
Covered the Shoulder to Shoulder rally outside the legislature. I’ll have a full story on the rally for the 6 o’clock news!
Thrilled to be moderating this panel on the Haligonian directed film ‘What We Dreamed of Then’ and the realities of invisible homelessness. The film is premiering on Feb. 20.
Had the opportunity to sit down with Mayor Andy Fillmore to discuss his first year as mayor and reflect on his relationship with council, his regrets and the municipality’s relationship with the province.
Met one of my favourite (and fuzziest) local celebrities today while out on assignment today ☺️
Covered the Dartmouth Cove protest outside province house today. Story will air tonight on the 6 o’clock news for Global Halifax
