Hey, @waterfox.net, how do I fix this bug? The latest update is now wasting an annoying amount of space to the left of the sidebar just for a little gear icon at the bottom. It wastes that space when I have my bookmarks in the sidebar, too. That just showed up in the latest update.
I somehow wound up on the Count Binface side of tiktok, and y'all 🤣
Every time I run into one of these errors, I'm reminded of how bad the data protection laws in the US are, and just how creepy a lot of websites choose to be. It's not that hard to be GDPR compliant, unless you don't want to let viewers opt out of tracking.
I posted too soon. They had to revise the graph for a higher actual high. The average high is 73F, with the upper end of the normal range hitting 79F. Tonight, we're only predicted to drop down to 79F for 3 hours, from about 5:30 to about 8:30am.
The Google Gemini heat wave in Europe dipped into Portugal this week. Thank the gods that I have air conditioning in my apartment.
Can someone who works in restaurants or food delivery explain why it would take so much longer to prepare a pickup order? I considered ordering from a place that is literally 50 meters away the other day, and this made me decide not to.
Out of curiosity, I checked the German Brooks running page. They've got all the sizes! And there's a Spanish Brooks page, too, that has all the sizes! But, despite us all being in the Eurozone, they don't ship everywhere in the Eurozone 😐
So I turned to Amazon, as much as I hate having to shop there. I found one - ONE - listing on amazon for Brooks in my size that will ship to me in Lisbon. There were plenty of other listings, but...
Almoço - lulas estufado com ervilhas Lunch - squid stuffed with peas It was really good!
I'm excited to be part of the ThriveLib line-up this year! Registration opened yesterday - check it out! thrivelib-2026.heysummit.com The conference is 3 days, fully virtual, and there are three tiers of ticket prices to be as inclusive as possible.
I saved this TikTok video a while ago because the analogy seems so appropriate
LinkedIn REALLY REALLY wants me to know that the US economy is cooked. They keep pushing ads at me about "If You Own a Home and Need Cash, Do This Instead Of A Loan (It's Simple)" It reminds me of the ubiquity of ads for payday loans back in the day.
Oh, really? You let me choose? They why TF do I have to take steps to opt OUT every damned time I land there? Either walk your talk and stop pushing this garbage on users, OR stfu. I never ever ever want your AI trash. Stop pushing it like this.
A whole pizza to myself + an aperol spritz for dinner led to choosing what I think is the steepest trail I've found in the Monsanto forest. Now I'm beat!
Not quite 3 weeks ago, I adopted an older rescue dog, hoping she and Mocha would be besties. They guessed she was around 5 when she landed in the shelter, and she was so terrified she just hid in the back of her enclosure.
I considered finally trying out @padlet.com, until I saw their sample text in the sign up with email field 🤮 It doesn't matter if you say "you belong here" when you tell me through your actions (including what sample text you choose) that you don't actually believe that.
In a park near my house, there are some curved concrete platforms - I don't know if there's a better term for them, they're the width of benches but with no backing and way longer than any regular bench. Last year, the city installed a few metal seat backs to make them more comfy to enjoy.
