Be excellent to each other. Random internet person. Don’t take me too seriously. Part of a teeny team keeping big state parks open for everyone to enjoy!
Just caught a rubber boa somewhere he shouldn’t have been. A couple candid shots before I found him a nice hidey hole
I give to you, one of my more valued things. Original 50s/60s rounded corner, fiberglass, Smokey the bear sign.
Saw a rubber boa today at work. First time for me I was/am still giddy. Not great photo but didn’t want to disturb it.
Couldn’t tell you where it was, but I lugged my Mamiya C330 there to shoot this on some expired film. #waterfallwednesday
Beacon Rock, Columbia River Gorge. A proper #forestfriday entry. Sigma DP2 Merrill (the only digital camera I’ve fallen in love with)
Down by the old oak tree. It’s still #forestfriday if it’s just one beautiful tree yes? #Hasselblad 201f forgot the film stock and to put the tape over my dark slide.
Reposting for #forestfriday since my wake and bake brain put two “r’s” in my post.
For anyone wondering, this is a pika, they are a relative of rabbits and live in higher altitudes on rock outcroppings they spend their summers gathering moss and grass to make their dens warm and cozy for the winter months.
You’ll have to really scan, but I finally sighted a Pika after looking for them for 5 years. Granted, I could have looked harder but none the less I finally saw one of the cute little guys. I just wish I had my SLR.
