Jennifer Ehle plays Gabriella (and she was written in S3) very close to how Armand described her in The Vampire Armand. And he describes her in either ballgowns or safari suits. In the context of where she appears in a show, her appearance works.

Gabrielle, she looks just like him, except she’s a woman, totally a woman, that is, sharper of feature, small-waisted, big-breasted, sweet-eyed in the most unnerving and dishonest fashion, gorgeous in a black ball gown with her hair free, more often dusty, genderless, sheathed in supple leather or belted khaki, a steady walker, and a vampire so cunning and cold that she has forgotten what it ever meant to be human or in pain. Indeed, I think she forgot overnight, if she ever knew it. She was in mortal life one of those creatures who always wondered what the others were carrying on about.

For anyone who was or still is a fan of #Torchwood - sad news, the shrine is about to be taken down. We were there shortly after it was set up in August 2009 having been to Sex, Wales & Anarchy the day before.

Ianto's shrine in Cardiff Bay - Mermaid Quay. The site of Torchwood's secret entrance to their base, the Hub, via Ianto's tourist office. Made into a shrine when Ianto was killed by the aliens (and lack of gas mask) in Children of Earth. There are always a range of notes, pictures, flowers and tokens of love left there for Ianto and the show

The shrine in August 2009 - messages, flowers and underwear adorn the grill, a banner wishing Ianto an happy birthday. Short female with bag on her shoulder on the right hand side paying her respects to Ianto Jones.

Customer Notice (pinned to the outside of the shrine - because tourists and locals were confused, thinking someone had died there).
