114. Masters of the Universe Kind of what I expected; for the most part the fight scenes were good; the comedy was light but fit the nostalgia; Leto’s best role for more than a decade; lovely bit of music; had the small scene problem only a couple of times.
113. Stranger Than Fiction A really nice light romcom with a super simple story turned out by some excellent actors doing their thing significantly better than you’d see in a lot of bigger movies. there’s a couple of awkward kinks in the dialogue but it’s still lovely
112. Weapons Creepy, hilariously dark, rashomonish, comedy horror. Some great acting and one of the best evil characters in recent years. Comes with a big hint of Long Legs, Cuckoo, and Hellboy style folkloric witchery.
111. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come A dark comedy with tons of splashy gore. Not as good as the first or The Hunt. A bit too much faffing about but still well worth a watch and it feels like there might be a third in the future.
110. All Nighter Daft and super simple, quite a laugh with a touch of heart. Nice and short too if your attention span’s shot.
Made me think about Peter Brough, a ventriloquist who worked on the radio. He drank his own kool-aid a bit too much and decided to go into TV, but he just couldn’t stop moving his lips.
109. Sisu: Road to Revenge Crazy, action adventure revenge movie. Gory, over the top, great explosive fun. Kind of like the later Fast movies. Turn off your brain and enjoy the non verbal carnage.
108. Bugonia Absolutely mental to the point of making it pretty clear what’s actually going on. Very well filmed if a little long winded. It was also very odd how much the penultimate set and scene felt like it came straight out of Midjourney.

107. Joe Baby Could‘ve been decent but it comes with some terrible dialogue delivery and acting, as well as some stilted fight scenes and mediocre cinematography.

105. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: The Clocks A multiple murder mystery right on the edge of the war has the military paranoid. This episode has the most annoying group of men in power listening to the wrong people because they fit the narrative and ignoring people who have important information.
104. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Murder on the Orient Express Poirot in an emotional abyss attempting to argue that laws are where justice comes from.
Got a couple more, could have half a go at a few more too I suppose.
103. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Hallowe’en Party Full of nutters and fools, with an echo of as well as an actor from a previous tale.
102. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Three Act Tragedy Unfortunately recognisable voice on the killer and some serious over confidence in the actions of ‘someone else’ for you not to think it a bit odd. Every other character except Poirot is flakey as hell.
101. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Appointment With Death This is kinda the one in the plane and the one at the card game smashed together in the Middleeast.
100. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Third Girl A weird one with a lot of gaslighting and apparent manipulation all over the place.
99. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Cat Among the Pigeons More British colonialism and more rubies lead to more disguises, murder, blackmail, and a bit of weird floating about.
98. Koyaanisqatsi Had to watch this in 3 parts due to the cloying nature of Philip Glass’s operatics and the Library pictures imagery. It’s very good in small lumps otherwise it’s overpoweringly both boring and engaging.
97. They Will Kill You Ghostbusters, Dante’s Inferno, Ready or Not, Kill Bill, The Raid, John Wick, The Old Guard, and a little dash of Lord of the Flies, all stuck in a blender and blitzed into a quite fun, gory, beat-em up.
96. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Mrs McGinty’s Dead A village full of self obsessed weirdos, a capital murder case with no evidence at all. A bit loosey goosey.
95. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Taken at the Flood He’s not the type of badboy you fall for, he’s a fucking sociopath with psychopathic tendencies. The other one’s an angry nutter.
94. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: After the Funeral One of those where you’re wondering why the perp hasn’t done a runner. Some of the best will based shenanigans. Unfortunately recognisable voice.
93. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: Cards on the Table Lots of parts to this one some of it quite clear, some of it sneaking up on you from the shadows.
92. The Last Starfighter Weirdly paced and pretty corny but fun nonetheless. A great showing of really early cg and a bloke who looks like an easter egg.
91. Escape From New York Great unserious action, an excellent single day mix of adventure, comedy, and tragedy. Love the soundtrack and what a choice to have Jamie Lee Curtis do the opening narration.
90. Agatha Christie’s Poirot: The Mystery of the Blue Train Sort of an extension of, with some additions to, a previous story.
