I spent my afternoon in the #pottery studio dreaming up this goofball dragon. He’s now wrapped up tight to equalize, I will smooth him out when he’s a bit less fragile. I used standard 182 with grog. And yes, he’s hollow.

Whales! thinking about whales, crafting whales, these things have been giving me so much joy. I’ve made several stoneware whales that I have yet to glaze and this week at a residential metal working craft class I made a mother and baby whale chain.

I’m currently at a residential craft school learning metal working and jewelry making. Silver is too expensive for us to learn on but I have copper and brass- here is my first piece #snowfarm

Here’s a side view so you can see - it’s four amethysts along the top and then they end, so it’s very comfortable to wear! Nice comfy band too.

Out at the Farmer’s Market wearing my new swirly dotty silver ring from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social . I got it yesterday and the first time I put it on it felt like it had always been mine. The other, amethyst and marcasite, ring is also a Peculiarity vintage refurb!

I’ve got a heavily defended (9 foot fence!) container garden going on in a small part of the garden. The deer can eat everything else, everywhere else, but here is where I keep the tastiest morsels all for myself.

Mountain laurel blossom is so beautiful, and it’s a rare sight. The trees them selves are twisted eldritch things, it’s such a joy their flowers are so pretty.

Fresh from the kiln! I’m so happy with how these two came out. I made these, then splashed thin colored slip onto damp newspaper, made myself a little Jackson Pollock. Then I rolled my greenware on it! This is after bisquing, and glazing in clear. #pottery
