Had lots of at Somerset today as we beat a good Gloucestershire team. We nearly threw away a pretty certain win but thanks to some excellent batting we had a decent total to protect. Josh Thomas had a fab knock stranded on 97* Great crowd in 💪 & I went on the livestream with Trescothick behind me 😰

The Cricket Society were out in force at the Women’s Test today! Not many of us stayed in the sun all day - luckily there was enough shade!
An historic day today as England Women take on India in the first women’s Test match ever to be played at Lord’s. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to be part of The Cricket Society event hosting the women who played in the 1st ever game + RHF’s son! 👏👏

A difficult day for Somerset but it had a great crowd & lots of fun with our red ball festival of cricket - lots of events going on. It was also Day for Thorpey & Stephen Lamb & wore his headband with pride!
My husband & son - one right handed, one left - opening the batting together. 40 overs later they both left the field not out. A wonderful partnership ❤️

Really lovely to see Ed Middleton seeking advice from David Graveney at Gloucestershire CCC today. It’s what it’s all about - generations sharing techniques & all credit to Ed for recognising this. I even learnt some stuff too…
It’s been a while since I’ve been to the brilliant Walkers and Talkers at Bristol - there must have been 250 + there to listen to Stephen Chalke interview Mark Alleyne about their new book. It was a fabulous occasion - what a great group of people 👏👏
