As someone who has a cat with Manx syndrome, I totally understand how Jimothy captured the nations' collective hearts. That's exactly how a 425 g/8 wk old kitten hopped into my life. With odd back legs, no tail and a unstoppable spirit. Two years later, he's all spirit, still no tail.
Or cat...but never a duck. You have to be a special kind of crazy to have ducks.
Set the alarm for 4 am and was rewarded with a sunrise balloon mass ascension. I pared 200 photos down to 12. This was one of my favorites. The basket is adapted for the pilot who is in a wheelchair. Once I compress the photos they'll go up on my blog.

The mom is super friendly, most likely a runaway or abandoned. This is her 3rd litter, we believe. Several have been rescued, but we don't have a colony so I suspect most succumb. She is absolutely adorable, super friendly, if skittish. We want to get her fixed and rehomed, so we'll keep trying.

You have no idea, how in my current state of mind, I'm not at the farm store buying baby ducklings by the gross. But I must be strong. Nora will be my last duck until my current wanderlust is abated. Baby ducks (well ducks in general) are not easy.
Cold & snowy, so of course the duck is in the house. She's now demanding the dog bed. Watching a Great Dane slink off because Nora yelled at them to get off the bed is kinda worth it.

Well I was going to say you were mistaken, because I received this result from Gemini - but when I asked my Google Home Assistant to tell me who won elections - it told me who won 2008, 2016, 2024, but said, "sorry I don't understand" when asked about 2020. That's no error, that's deliberate 🤯
