While everyone else is at IRIS and Tucks, NOMTOC is just over here being the last bastion of New Orleans parades that are just rolling for New Orleans. ♥️ They better never come for this absolute chaos diamond of a west bank block party.
IT'S MURDERBOT DAY! And my Libby app says I am first in line to read but I have to work today instead of inhale stories. 😭 It cannot be 5 pm soon enough @marthawells.com
I said I wasn't gonna spend money but then I found this vintage soup tourine.
Also my dog is feeling especially old today and I am not ready to be making quality of life judgements right now. 😭 That's my sweet baby angel bestest boi and he just needs a nap or ten to get through to bedtime--it's fine.
See you in the streets, friends. I have a flower for you if we find each other. 💜💚💛
A beautiful day to have a NOMTOC party. New Orleans still got it 🥰
This angel just immediately ran up and begged for belly rubs and we're not monsters so obviously we did as we were bid.
@allignatius.bsky.social nailed the graphic design for the subkrewe theme this year
Been scrambling to figure out childcare for the parade tomorrow and we finally got a plan and now I can stop stressing about that and start stressing about how to keep the throws dry if it rains. Will be 1st in the lineup for Chewbaccus with all the other Dana Scullys if you want the goods. 👽💜💚💛👽
I asked my tattoo artist friend to give me a pelican, complete with resting bitch face, and she understood the assignment 🥰
I may have gone overboard at the Book Barn today but I found so many treasures! I can't resist a $1 vintage paperback.
Day 1 with the plants all in place. Fingers crossed everything settles in over the next few weeks so I can start figuring out which critters to add.
the buying a betta for my kid's birthday in 2020 to nerding out on planted aquarium ecology pipeline
Finally starting a project I meant to start a year ago with a completely new freshwater tank that will be (hopefully) it's own self-sustaining ecosystem with the struggle with filter changes, etc. I think we'll start with some shrimp once the plants arrive and have a few weeks to develop.
my plan was going brilliantly until I dropped the damn pan 😭😭😭
Jasper has a concern about how dark and loud outside is right now.
It's Star Wars Day and if you are so-inclined, New Orleans, you can find me and a bunch of other artists displaying our Star Wars-inspired art at 531 Lyons St from 6 to 9 p.m.
Kiddo was cooked by 2:30 so we're home already but made it to the Fest for the ritual Rosemint tea, crawfish bread, and mango freeze and caught the end of Ricky Lee Jones' set before I spent a lot of money on some art for my bday/mom day present. Out before the crowd got too crowded.

I am quiet on the internet because my hands are busy finishing work for two art shows I am participating in during May. My fingers hurt & my eyes are crossing but I'm pretty stoked about this one. This piece is my in-progress submission for Peepshow at Chemical 14 in the Bywater, opening May 10th.
No cheating, your last saved celebrity pic is your therapist.
Voted NO to them all and now it's shop girl o'clock. Sun's still kinda out on Oak Street so shop local, friends.
The mourning doves that nested above our center porch column in the fall returned and have a new baby. 🥰 I thought there were two but might only be one this time. Now we are on fledgling watch so we can make sure the outside cats leave them alone when it's time to fly away. 🙏
Participating in a Star Wars-inspired show in May (the open is exactly the day you think it should be) so I have been stitching like mad today because I have 2 collections to finish for Mary's Rack this month & I'm submitting for another show at Chemical 14 (also in May) so crunch time is now.
Everything is on fire but my Girl Scout cookies just got delivered so I'm gonna be ok for at least t24 hours.
Banh mi on Frenchman got me going way longer than I planned today. I love you, New Orleans.
