Just finished a re-read of this, for the first time in 20+ years. C J Cherryh is one of my all time favourite writers, her world building is peerless, and her ability to show space spanning events from a personal view is exceptional. I absolutely recommend her books to anyone.

Two new pens over Christmas, the Kaweco Al-Sport is their piston filler and was a gift. This one has a broad nib and is incredibly smooth and juicy to write with. Fantastic pen. The Diplomat Aero Oxyd Brass is actually Brass, and not aluminium like I assumed, so it's fairly heft.
