Cynical, curmudgeonly old engineer. Happily married and proud father to two fine young men. Unix and Matlab geek. Keen cyclist, modeller and book worm. Basically an inquisitive idiot & just wish everyone would treat others with compassion & understanding.
The class 20 has already had a make over for James Bond. www.peterboroughimages.co.uk/james-bond-a...
Oh dear another fragile poster in @bluebirdk7.bsky.social who can't handle the truth, I'm guessing that they don't have any evidence at all of K7 on full plane like this photo from Bute because they would've shown the evidence but because I didn't fall for the museum gaslighting I get blocked.
Found an example from 1 of the many runs on Bute. You can clearly see it's floating on a bed of air underneath the main hull & sponsons. There's a solid metal lump of a planing wedge right at the back of the sponson, in full planing only this is in the water. Clue's in the name 3 point hydroplane.
After fixing a few little jobs around the house finally managed to get back to my workbench for an hour or so. Added a few more bits to a scratch built Precursor tank loco.
Not sure which was first but the one I remember is the painting of the lion.
Showing my age here but anyone who looks like Kim Wilde would not be short of a dancing partner.
Likewise we have 2 terriers, I’m sure that they just want to play with the cats but I’m not taking that risk.
Stan’s enjoying his birthday bone. ( 2yrs old today). Not stopped gnawing on it all day, surprised he hasn’t got jaw ache yet.
Surely you’re not suggesting it’s AI generated? I mean the flags are so accurate it can’t be made up. First time I’ve seen a Union Jack flag with a blue diagonal stripe. 🤦♂️
Purely hypothetical because there’s no such thing as immoderate tea drinking. I only have 4 or 5 cups a day.
Congratulations, welcome home, we’re keeping our eyes open for your return.
These are ours but they’ve just consumed a box of Lindor chocolate they won’t be allowed anywhere near the tree.
At what stage did the BBC adopt Betteridge’s Law as the default policy?
Seen on X - Two stolen rally cars from Preston- request for help. #rally.
Therein lies the problem- they can get away with murder. Which one do you think was digging in the flower beds?
Neither do I want to be anywhere in the vicinity of the narcissistic, senile, racist convicted sexual predator, however the Prime Minister has a duty to the safeguarding the security of this country that outweighs any distaste there maybe.
#ios 18 bug? Just seeing if it’s just me. In notes if I select Quick Notes but then go back to the folder view. The new note button just adds a new note to the folder but doesn’t actually open it to write into. Kept tapping the button and got a list of empty notes.
Surely it should have been posed as a question with the abstract : Yes. In a similar vein from paperpile.com/blog/shortes... as I work on flight control systems then my favourite is this.
Really nice if I do say so myself. 😊 Took inspiration from the prototype so there is an inner chassis with motor mounted centrally and vertical then delrin chain drive to both axles. The axles are on a sprung radius arm hung off the gearbox. Miniature ball races, DCC, stay alive capacitor & sound.
Not finished much lately but mainly kit and scratch building 1:43 (Scale7) UK outline loco’s and stock.
Fair enough but for me it doesn’t work. I wasn’t expecting a technical drawing, by details I guess I mean the proportions, the shape and dimensions aren’t correct. It’s miles away from Flying Scotsman. Turners fire and rain works for me because the proportions are correct and has few details.
Do you the album cover painting? The artwork is credited to Mike Trim. So that might be a good place to start. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Trim
We have a Lakeland Terrier and he’s been pruning the Camellia in our beds for us. 😡😡
