Again inspired by @cogliano.bsky.social I tried using an HDMI to VGA cable to connect the Fruit Jam to one of my main monitors that happens to also have a VGA port (Dell Ultrasharp U2412M), and it seems to work

Thanks to some tips from @cogliano.bsky.social not only did I score an inexpensive monitor that will work, but also managed to get this monitor I salvaged to work by reducing the fruit jam's clock frequency to 125MHz 😄

I still play with a Wii Nunchuk using an adapter I built a couple years ago. Due to chronic shoulder pain I often struggle with keyboard+mouse games and this has provided me with a more ergonomic way to play that doesn't cause me pain. adafruit-playground.com/u/squid_jpg/...

For the last couple of weeks I have been trying to beat FTL with The Shrike (Lanius cruiser B). Beat it on normal last weekend and made it to the 3rd boss phase on Hard but couldn't quite clench it. It's a tricky ship but may be my favorite so far.
