Because the coward predictably removed his terrible post we have screengrabs.
Americans go from 22 degree AC indoors to AC cars to AC indoors again. There isn't a soul outside in their sea of concrete/asphalt built environments of ugly car parks, strip malls. It's no way to live. European solutions are layered. Good long discussion here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCz6...
Loving this luscious cloud cover keeping the heat at bay over much of Scotland this morning. 16 degrees w a high of 20 is doable.
So glad I decided to grow tomatillos this year. 🌱 I was concerned about pollination so I put them at the end of the polytunnel near the doors. They are very easy to grow and the bees adore the flowers. I cannot wait to make chilli verde sauce for chicken chilli verde.
Peony coral charm blooming! These were only planted this year and I'm so happy to see a bloom!
If I had to choose just one plant to have it would be chives. Perennial, fully edible, no maintenance really, I pick from them for my food daily, beautiful, pollinators love them, deer don't eat them (at least the ones at mine don't).
25 today and too warm for Scotland. I'm very excited about the weather starting tomorrow. Those are very nice working outside temperatures. Looking forward to being more productive again. Been too warm to work outside or even inside. My house needs some attention Lol
22 degrees outside but 35 and hot AF inside my polytunnel. Have shade cloth up to try and not cook my plants before they get a chance to be planted out. Look how lovely my tomatillo plant is? Love eating them and first time growing them. I love the flowers.
I love growing things so much.🌱 Kinda wish I had a friend nearby to share my growing space with but hey ho. Purple sprouting broccoli went from seed snail to pots and a first glut of radishes which I put into a jar using a quick pickle method. Ill keep adding to the jar as they're ready to harvest.
Wishaw Town Bistro is so good. £22 for 2 specialty burgers, a large skin on crispy chips and 2 cans of juice. We got the Desperado: chipotle mayo, jalapeños, hot honey sauce nom nom.
This time with moar "there's no magic money tree" and this Labour monstrosity?
🌱 Tried the seed snail method this year for starting and tranferring tray grown seedlings and wow. Root growth is fantastic. Been putting my snails in terracotta pots. I sowed my 2nd round for succession planting. I use cut up compost bags. #SeedSowing #SeedSnail #GrowingFood
💙 The bluebells have been particularly good this year. The fragrance has been lovely as well. #Bluebells #NativePlants #Scotland #Birdsong 🐤🎶
🌱 An adorable blue tit was in my polytunnel today. Probably came in through gaps under the doors. I tried to let him out but he preferred to stay in and feast on the many bugs and spiders around. He hoped around the place bug hunting while I worked.
🌱 Planted this Polemonium, heaven scent variety recently and I'll definitely be getting more of these. They smell beautiful, have been flowering well that the bees love and have lovely foliage.
🌱 Planted out radishes and some cabbage under a cover. So excited for this year's growing season.
🌱 Sowed some onion sets and carrots yesterday using the 2 plank method placing compost only where the planting is since comppst is precious. These are going to be under fleece protection. This is a new no dig bed on cardboard so I sowed short carrot variety Paris Market.
1/2 My annual collecting of nettles to make a nettle and brown sugar concentrate fertiliser. I do a 1 to 1 by weight amount of nettle and brown sugar, tear and mix the leaves in a large bowl, fill a sterile jar of the leaves 3/4 full, add sprinkle of brown sugar and a clean/boiled rock to the jar.
Glasgow looked beautiful today. Enjoyed walking the dogs in Victoria Park and Glasgow Green w delicious lunch at Koi 💚 Spring has arrived in Scotland
To reverse engineer a consent for any evil or propaganda. Got it. Good to see you put that in writing. You know what they say about stupid people - losses to others and losses to themselves
