BTW, I also like this one for the other -isms... my Homer Simpson brain has no problem understanding any of this, hahahhaa. I just googled it and found it apparently appeared in about 1936! Surprised me, I thought it was more recent.
My durpasaurus, for once not sitting right ON my puzzle book. She wants ALL the attentions.
THIS. RIGHT. HERE. There is very little "English" in English, and calling it "American" is beyond ridiculous. If these morons only knew where so many words they use on a daily basis came from...
Yup... I know there really aren't many of these people here! Fun thing I found today... very accurate. There is very little "English" in English. We (a-hem) borrowed from everyone. If the people I mentioned above only knew where some of the words they THINK are English came from... (A-HEM).
I don't know about the rest of you, but I would CHEERFULLY fork over my tax dollars for THIS.
She asked for blue and was disappointed with the color she got, she had someone else do the "paws", the license plate says "Woofie", she has two spaniels and purple hair, and she's going to be 90 in a week. Lady, you ROCK.
Spotted out and about today... oh, I so needed the giggle. I don't know what company owns this truck... but guessing it has something to do with the manufacture or selling of wine. "Yes Way Rosé"... VERY clever!
YAAASSS!! The other day I stopped on my way into the Post Office to watch (and praise) these guys. They were telling me about the ABUSE they got from people going by. Regardless of their own feelings re. what they were doing, they're city workers, doing their job. People suck.
Those of us "slaves" to our pets do it 'cause we WANT to. We treat them the way we wish everyone would treat us, and their love is unconditional. When I see my Kat all contented, my heart wants to explode with happiness for her, but also with longing for the same for myself.
OK folks. Heads up. Have suspected for a long time that inactive accounts are being hacked and "repurposed". A rando reposted a totally irrelevant comment of mine, checked Bluesky. Account created 1.5 years ago... practically no activity... then a name change 12 minutes ago. Commence begging.
Spotted out and about. I love living in a predominantly blue state. I cannot help but hope that this is a subtle FUCK YOU to the current regime. Joe wasn't perfect, but dammit, I miss him.
Eee!! She's so cyoot. My Kat has split-snoot, too. That is a looong wait, OMG, must be so sweet to finally, finally see the result of all your patience and love. My gurl's "Glamor Shot"...
OMG. This freakin' diva cat of mine. I found her a felted cat cave at the thrift MONTHS back. She went in it ONCE. A couple days back I gave up on her ever using it and moved it from the bedroom to the sunporch. And today she's curled up in it, contented as a clam. Why is it attractive now!?
Should I tell her he once told me he'd move out if I ever got a cat? That he used to have nightmares about them? That I had to beg for two years before I could go choose her and bring her home? Ah well. If I did, she'd probably just smirk knowingly. He is now smitten with ze kitten.
Her mouth scares me... those teeth... like a fish. I thought piranha, but theirs are pointy, so I guess she's more of a sheepshead...
The continuing Saga of Snow: Of course, town has not removed the giant mountain of snow in the roadway. But Mother Nature is adding a lovely skimcoat of white, the piles were starting to look a bit dingy! Levels have gone down significantly w/ warmer temps, neighbor's truck is visible again!
Kat, practicing her "Twister" moves. Or having a senior moment... who knows! We just glance over and find her sitting there like this, with a "what was I just doing?" look on her fuzzy little face. Lookit those floofy feets! Durp!
... and yeah. It is snowing again. Here's another shot of the front of our neighbor's house. A loader came by and shoved some snow into their front yard. Why they took care of THAT side and not the much larger mess on the other is beyond me. That be my 5'3" hubs...
The aftermath of Winter Storm Hernando... Look at the middle of the photo... see that right angle in the pavement? Our property/driveways are to the RIGHT. To the left is TOWN PROPERTY, i.e., the street. That gigantic mountain of snow is IN. THE. ROAD. Look at all we had to clear to get out.
Walkin' in a winter wonderland... hahhaa. We just came in from Round II, re-clearing the ridge of plow vomit blocking all three of our driveways. Our neighbors rent, and all they have are shovels.
Friggin' town. I get they can't make our corner, but they basically shoved a buttload of snow in front of our driveway. Snow drifted and piled on; now we have a ridge higher than our heads behind our car. Hard packed slushy road snow in it. They need to come & FIX this. Not the first time either.
Hubs outside. Trying to get to the cellar door to clear it. The thing under the cover is our snowblower. And yeah, that's how high our "front door" stairs are, which is why we have been using basement entrance.
OK. Endeavor here. Window bird feeder... see access hole? Very carefully lowered phone into that to get the pic of what's going on outside! Third pic is what it looked like out there a few years back when we had a garden. So you can see that hoop thingie is really at a higher level...
All of our windows on all sides of the house 1.5 stories up. Window to right is at a right angle to the bedroom wall, ordinarily you see the bedroom window. Snow totally stuck to all outside storms. Like being in a blanket fort & only getting glimpses through a hole or fuzzily through a worn spot.
Does she have a nakie belly!? My tortie does, too. I thought for a while that she had gnawed her fur off, but over the years, I've seen quite a few pics of torties with little pink bellies. My fave pic of her, it looks like a heart!
Bonus Catpost. Behind our carport/igloo thing, in the lot of the 4-family to the North, is a small camper. Actually OCCUPIED full time. And he has a cat. The cat is an outdoor cat and obviously he has no fear. Spot the Cat.
