It's 2026 and I've realized with a slow sense of horror that what a miracle and a privilege it is that some of us still have the right to vote, unlike the lakhs and lakhs of Indians who have been denied by the fascist government still wearing the facsimile of 'democracy'.
Subho Noboborsho, peeps! Ushering in the Bengali New Year w some home-grown capsicums!
Happy new year, peeps! 2025 was a very hard year for me, so fingers crossed for a 2026 that's softer, lovelier and kinder to us all. May we heal, make some art and find magic and joy in the mundane 💕✨
half the food in the fridge was going bad so I forced myself to cook a bunch of stuff (creamy cheese pasta, shakshuka, butter chicken, sauteed brocoli and chicken clear soup) and miss that my dad's not around to taste any of it and mum's not allowed to have most of these dishes (except the soup) :(
2025 has been a rather cruel year, but I'm grateful for all the small joys and the unexpected kindnesses of friends and strangers that helped me survive the past few months. Merry Christmas and may 2026 be kinder, lighter and lovelier! 🎄💕
since we're on topic, here enjoy some bounties from my winter garden! 🌿
preserving his legacy, and looking to the future—not with hope but with humble curiosity and melancholy acceptance. R.I.P, Baba. You will always be alive in our hearts. ❤️😭
It was wonderful chatting w @talkingpeach.bsky.social & Shoi about our artistic journeys + navigating casteism in urban spaces as part of the Kolkata launch of @blaft.bsky.social's Anti-Caste SF anthology at Storyteller Bookstore! Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported the book! 🫶🌸
Subho Noboborsho 🌸; or, happy bengali new year to everyone! May the coming months be kinder, filled w peace & prosperity, bringing us closer to defeating the fascist powers and preserving our planet 🏞️ Meanwhile, enjoy these sunset shots from a walk through the Kolkata wetlands!
I QT-ed that extremely problematic Mithila Review tweet and his only response was to promote Deepseek. I really hope younger/newer SFF writers stay away from him and his magazine!
OMG naice! I love the cover. Mine looks like this (yeah, got up midway through dinner to look for my copy):
Had such a blast at my first ever Comic Con: dressing up as Wednesday Addams, chatting w fellow cosplayers, meeting Bill Golliher, John Layman & other comics creators, playing some VR games and running into one of my anthology editors @maralina.bsky.social, while also buying tons of merch. 🤖✨
Look what came in the mail this NYE! So grateful to be united w my contributor copy of @blaft.bsky.social's BLAFT BOOK OF ANTI-CASTE SF that has my bittersweet sapphic story "Happily Ever After" about two dollmakers determined to survive against all odds! 🎎✨

Blurb: Rapunzel's new life is far from a fairytale. Trapped in an abusive marriage with Prince Charming, and struggling under the weight of housework and severe hairloss, can she still somehow find her happily-ever-after? ✂️🎶👯
