Our city centre dockland Coots have done very well over the last few years and today I managed to photograph this proud Mama Coot with her newly hatched first Cootling of 2026 ❤️❤️❤️

As I can attest from Jonathan Livingston Seagull known affectionately as JLS our “ pet”Herring Gull & the most famous Scouse avian resident after the Liver Birds … they are very intelligent creatures indeed & perfectly capable of outwitting mere hoomans😂
