He definitely was. He normally doesn’t like anyone but us, and suddenly anyone who wanted could pet him.
Ok, I’m at a @xavierbecerra.bsky.social rally. I couldn’t bring myself to watch endless debate vids and I don’t want to judge just by social media. I’m looking forward to hearing him speak and answer audience questions, but also I’m pretty sure he is the candidate I like best.
I’m enjoying this age when we’re getting to have more complex conversations with our kids. Also my husband rules.
Surprising absolutely no one, I’m in love with this color puzzle game where you have to reorder the pieces into color order. But tonight I looked up from an advanced all pink puzzle, and discovered that my husband had turned green. I love perceptual color!
Sounds good, so long as I don’t become a part of the Marie Antoinette class somehow.
I manage and train the dancers at a strip club in Atlanta after I had to take a break from headlining to have a double mastectomy- but I’m desperately trying to find my ex girlfriend and co-headliner after she disappeared in mysterious circumstances. (Boom Town by Nic Stone)
My dog trying to convince me that if I take him on my run this time he definitely won’t lunge at every other dog or stop constantly to mark territory.
As well as building distance has been going, I’ve been sort of dreading crossing the five mile threshold today. It wasn’t so different from running 4.7 two weeks ago, though. Gotta figure out some booty pain, but nothing I can’t handle/successfully ignore until it gets worse.
After years of neighborhood hullabaloo, I had my first encounter with an LA coyote on my run this morning. Poor thing had a bad front leg and was limping. They’re a breath away from being our pets, I just wanted to take it home, tuck it into a soft bed, and feed it kibble. The crow is a paid actor.
I got to read my favorite book from childhood to my kids over the weekend. Thanks @espnjockjams.bsky.social! I hadn’t read it in probably more than 35 years, and it was very illustrative as to how I was indoctrinated (complimentary). It shall hold a place of honor on my shelves!
I was holding the ladder for my husband and my dog came over to help! He just walked up and put his little paws on the rung like, “oh, dis wut we doin?”
I’ve never been very good at drawing, so I’m a little too proud of that ice cube 😂
***THESIS WATCH UPDATE*** I have to go back and skip through the first 27 movies watched, so I can check for a category I added late. BUT! I’m done watching the 62 movies I chose to analyze for my research. 🎉🎉🎉 *insert air horn noises*
Thesis Watch Update! I’ve been really busy, but tonight I finally watched my 52nd movie. “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” is the most glorious sapphic romance about a painter falling in love with her subject in 1770 France. And every single frame looks like a painting!
*THESIS WATCH UPDATE* All of the remaining movies fit within the tiny screen of my laptop on my spreadsheet. Also I get to THREE popcorn action movies today (which is not so secretly one of my favorite genres).
I just need the world to know that I got these for Christmas, charged them immediately, have worn them at least 3 hours a week, and they still say, “Battery Full” every time I put them on.
Hey, it's Rare Disease Day! Since one of the most important people in my life has a rare disease, I'm sure you can imagine what it feels like to see the NIH gutted. Advancement can't happen without funding. Breakthroughs can't happen without funding. Hail Marys can't happen without funding.
I’m so hot for this. Office 2.0 is in the works! It’s a lot like Office Original Flavor, but slightly better organized.
I ran that 5k I’ve been training for this morning! It could not have gone better, I’m really proud of my time and how I feel after. Ready to sign up for my next! Thank you, @seaweedla.bsky.social for the encouragement and company! We cute.
